It's been a few days since Deku and Oceanus left Shells Town. Deku was checking his Fruit-trix as his first mate hoists half of himself into the boat after pushing for a while. "Phew! Even as a fishman, this boat is heavy. I must be getting out of shape," he says as he eyes Deku's watch, "So, that thing can give you the abilities of certain Devil Fruits and yet you have powers and you can still swim. You're going to become pretty well known real quick, Captain."

Deku was still fiddling his watch. "Hmm? What was that, Oceanus? Sorry, I'm still figuring out how this thing works myself. What exactly are Devil Fruits in this world?" he asks.

Oceanus sighs and explains, "Each fruit is unique, not one is the same. It's said that once you eat one, you get amazing superpowers, but you'll lose all of your strength when you get into seawater. I would never eat one, but I'm always fascinated them. The one you used on the Morgans looked like the Barrier Barrier Fruit. Since I answered your question, could you return the favor?"

"Oh? Sure, Oceanus," he replies, "What do you want to know?"

Oceanus hesitates, but he needs to know. So, he asks, "How is it that you have Devil Fruit like powers and can still swim, Deku? Also, if you're going to become a hero among pirates, how would we do that?"

Izuku sweatdrops at the question, but answers, "Well, this is just between us crewmates, okay? I'll tell other crewmates once we get more. But as for your question, I'm... from another universe, completely different from this one. In my universe, 80% of the world's population develops abilities called Quirks. People can have the quirk of one of their parents, a combination of the two, or a completely different one altogether. The other 20% are called Quirkless. To make a long story short, I was quirkless but was given a quirk that slowly expanded in 8 Quirks. Sorry if this is a lot to take in. As for the 'hero among pirates' thing, in my original universe, I strived to be the No. 1 hero in Japan. So, uh, what would the equivalent to being No. 1 in this world?"

Oceanus was amazed by the answer and smiled, "Well, that makes a lot of sense. It is a lot to process, but I find it interesting, yet dangerous. Also, it sounds like you'd be going for the One Piece in the Grand Line."

"Huh? What's this One Piece, and how would that help?" the captain asks.

Oceanus laughs loudly and splashes the sea water, "WAHAHAHAHA! I should've expected that you wouldn't know of it. There's this treasure that Gold Roger, the King of the Pirates, found and hid it all. It is known as the One Piece, and whoever finds the One Piece will become the new King of the Pirates!"

Izuku was amazed by that. "Wow!" he exclaims, "That sounds amazing. Looks like I'm going to become King of the Pirates! What about you, Oceanus? What kind of goal or dream do you have?"

Oceanus smiles and looks up to the sky before replying, "I made a vow to a friend that I would become stronger enough to beat him. He's the only one who has defeated 300 times in a row, and he's a human, which says a lot. Unfortunately,... some bandits got the best of us, and they took my friend away to be sold as a slave... I haven't seen him since. So, I vow to become the strongest in the world to save him and beat him in a one-on-one fight. I swear that I will learn and master every single fighting style, weapon usage, and technique there is in this world to save my friend." The fishman looks up and sees his friend crying a whole bunch. "Woah! What's wrong, Deku?!" he exclaims.

"It's so sad that you had to go through that!" the captain replies, "I promise to help you in your dream to save your friend."

Oceanus sighs and chuckles softly. Once Deku calmed down, he said, "In any case, we should see what other Devil Fruits are in your watch."

The heroic pirate captain nods and activates his Fruit-trix and chooses a random fruit before pushing the center piece down. The suit transformation begins as an aerodynamic fabric wraps around his body, and large springs go around his legs and arms. The two look at the suit, amazed. "Huh. I guess this one is self-explanatory. I think I'll call this suit Slincoil," Deku says as he bounces up and down.
