10. Epilogue: Who is the killer?

In Real life:

"One last time, Kim Taehyung." The prosecutor questions, glancing at the two volunteers who are standing by the witness cage in the court as Taehyung stands inside, bored and monotonous.

One of the woman in the volunteer, nods her head signalling the prosecutor to proceed his question that their device is ready to work in Taehyung's hand.

The prosecutor gets the signal as he proceeds, "Did you kill your mistress, Anne Mathway?"

The court fell silent as Taehyung looks to his side where the public and his wife Y/N sitting and looking for his answer.

You stare back at your husband, feeling no more painfulness to heard the word 'Mistress'.

You ended up coming back to the real world three days ago, you didn't find out the answer to the question but found everything except that.

Once you came out, the doctor and the scientist asked you to rest well since you stayed in the machine straight 5 days in total, the doctor had to feed you through the glucose tubes.

You were weak and had no strength even to speak, still you forced Jungkook to take you to the Mathway's mansion and find out V's dead body, not a body but skeleton and the pendrive has found inside the box. It had fell down since his skeleton can't hold it inside.

It's been straight 2 years and 3 months since he died. When everybody excepted Taehyung to react to know his brother dead, Taehyung reacts none. Not even a single tear escaped from his eyes, he stood straight and calm watching his brother's skeleton taken away to postmortem.

The pendrive didn't work so Jungkook send it to the scientist to fix it. They're still working on it.

But today, somehow it happens to Taehyung's trial. The Judge ordered to use lie detector since your father Namjoon asked to end this case as soon as possible. His only help for you in this case.

You give your husband a little smile, expressing that you will stay with him no matter what. You love him even though he happens to be a real killer or even a cheater. You really know that his heart belongs only to you.

Taehyung turns back to look at the prosecutor in the eyes, "I didn't kill my mistress." He speaks. Everyone in the court begin to mutters and wishpers among eachother, Jungkook looks over to you in worry, did he just confessed about having a mistress? Right infront of Y/N?

You bite your lips in anticipation. Taehyung turns back to you and stares blankly but he is trying to convey something, only you can read that, you can't help but a little fear arose.

The machine stays silent even after the expected time to beep, "That's the truth." Taehyung's side prosecutor, Yoongi stands up and comments. "My Client, Kim Taehyung is not a killer. He didn't kill his mistress Anne Mathway, it's the truth, your honor." Yoongi grins proudly, passing a sassy glance at the opposite party prosecutor.

"Alright. It's proved that Kim Taehyung didn't kill his mistress Anne Mathway. But, Mr.Kim can you tell the court how did Anne Mathway died, since you were in the mansion when the death happened and your fingerprint is on the knife that is used to stab Anne Mathway." The judge asks, writing down his notes about the truth.

Your husband gives a curt nod to the judge before opening his mouth, the lie detector is still connected to his hand.

"Anne Mathway, asked me to meet her that day. She told me that she has something to give and it's related to my brother, so I went there. When I get there, she asked me drink a tea. I did,-" "Why did you drink the tea? Didn't you feel suspicious about it?" The opposite party prosecutor raises as Taehyung turns his attention to the man.
