Chapter one

The roadways of Outlandel roared with traffic. It was high noon so people were finding lunch, shops, or just taking a cruise.

Kaylin walked down the street, still in her shop uniform as she tied up her hair. She planned to stop in the nearby Cafè for a quick bite to eat and some kinda coffee.
The bell jingled as she opened the door.

"Hello! Welcome to the Goose's Branch! what can I get for you?" The nice and social bartender spoke from her place behind the counter.
"Hi, can I just get a uhm-..." Kaylin spoke with a tired smile before pausing to look over the menu.
"Long day?" The bartender said with a sympathetic smile.
"Yeah, double shifted with two rushes..oh and a vanilla frappachino please." Kaylin said with a nodd as she then looked at the treats in the display box.
"Be just a moment!" The bartender said happily as she nodded, turning to make the drink.

Kaylin looked around, turning and looking out the window. The cars where whizzing through the town like as if the limit signs just walked off. Pedestrians wandered to their destinations, and a few people where seated outside the cafè.

"Awfully quiet today, yeah?" The bartender piped up, snapping Kaylin back to reality as she turned and saw her drink.
"Yeah, yeah it is." Kaylin agreed with a nodd as she walked back to the counter.
"2.73 pllleaseeeee" the bartender smiled as she rang up the drink while Kaylin pulled out her money, about to hand it over to the lady when a explosion went off, shattering the windows and tossing furniture.
Kaylin was thrown over the counter and collided with the bartender as they coughed and rolled off each other. Trying to wave away the smoke from the explosion.
"What the hell was that?!" The bartender yelled.
"Looks like it came from the street!!!" Kaylin yelled over the commotion and sirens.
