Laser treatment for bikini area vs. waxing vs. shaving
If we're going to talk about effectiveness, convenience, and long-term benefits, waxing and shaving have very little to offer against bikini hair laser treatment.
With laser hair removal, you can remove the unwanted bikini hair down to the roots. The laser beams damage the follicles for good to prevent new hairs from growing. That means you no longer have to think about monthly waxing sessions or struggling to shave in the shower.
Removal of laser hair in bikini areas will save you from painful ingrown hairs often associated with shaving. Also, you can kiss nicks, bumps, and cuts goodbye!
Once you've finished about 6 laser treatment sessions, you only have to get 1 to 2 touch-up appointments from us each year. That means you're always bikini-ready, not just during summer but all year round!
How to prepare for your bikini laser hair removal
Since your skin down there is one of the sensitive parts of the female body, you need to observe proper preparation before your laser hair removal for the bikini area. Here are some of the things you should and shouldn't do:
Stay out of the sun. For 1 to 2 weeks before your bikini laser treatment, you should avoid sun exposure. If you really have to go outside, we recommend wearing pants or knee-length shorts to avoid causing irritation on or near the treatment area.Skip some skin products. We will also ask you to stop using products containing retinol, salicylic acid, and benzoyl peroxide, as these substances increase your skin's photosensitivity. It means that you'll have a higher chance of getting burns or severe irritations if you use them prior to your treatment.Shave your bikini area. Yes, you read that right. At least 24 hours before your appointment with us, you should shave your bikini line to remove the excess hair length. Take note that our laser will target the follicles, and having a bush on top of the skin will make the treatment ineffective and painful.Don't tweeze or wax. If there's one "mortal sin" you'll do before your bikini laser removal, it would be plucking or waxing your pubic area. When you do this, you're literally removing the follicles that we need to neutralize. In this case, we will have to reschedule your appointment until you grow some stubble down there.

What to expect during bikini line laser hair removal
When we laser hair on bikini areas, we always start with a thorough consultation. During this time, we will ask about your skin health, if you have health issues, and what your desired results are.
If you're all clear, we will proceed with the treatment, where you'll feel the sensation of a rubber band snapping on your skin. We also use a topical numbing cream to make your experience as comfy as possible.
Take note that your bikini line laser treatment isn't just a one-thing. To see full hair removal, you'll need at least 6 sessions. However, we had clients before that required about 10 treatments due to the denser and thicker hair in their intimate areas.
