Crown of Shadows

Chapter 23-Ryoko

I woke up bright and early, and as usual I dreamt of nothing.

I looked around the house and saw the others were asleep and decided to be a good sister and make them breakfast.

I made a big breakfast, eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon. I cut up some fruits and vegetables while the pancakes cooked.

I set the table, putting plates and silverware down along with the fruits and veggies.

I made the mistake of making cookies as a dessert. Damion must've smelt them because he woke up and darted to the table.

"Damion, You eat those cookies I will cut your fingers off and feed them to my dragons." I threatened and he pulled back his hand.

"You have dragons?" Damion asked.

I nodded. "One day I'll tell you all everything that happened ever since that day." I said quietly as I cut the last of the veggies.

London and Nicholas woke up and waited at the table with Damion. London never took her eyes off of Damion.

"Lou, Come eat!" I hollared and Lou sleepily got up and walked to the table.

I put food on each of their plates and I started on the dishes.

Lou looked at me, "You aren't going to eat?"

"No, I ate already." I said, knowing I really only had a piece of bacon. I had no appetite.

I looked at Damion, "Now you can have a cookie." I said and Damion snatched a cookie and ate it.

Once everyone finished eating I voluntarily did the dishes.

"Nick, you said something about gathering allies last night?" I said and Nicholas nodded.

"I recommend going to the Serenity Kingdom in the Floral Realm. Their always willing to help." I said.

Nicholas nodded as I looked at him. "I'll come with you, They know me better than anyone." I suggested as Nicholas nodded.

"London, don't let Damion eat all the cookies." I said and Damion pouted.

Me and Nicholas walked out, I put my hand out in front of me and whistled.

A female black dragon with crimson scales and violet eyes flew above and landed in the open area nearby, roaring as I ran towards her, dragging Nicholas with me.

"Who's this?" Nicholas asked me as I got on.

"Cyria. She's Adele's daughter. Adele is the largest wyvern around." I helped Nicholas up and I put my hand on Cyria. "Vla." I said as Cyria took off. I only used High Valyrian when riding Adele or Cyria.

We rode through the clouds for a while. Down below, we saw the border mountains reaching up to the heavens, the snow from the Eclipse Realm was beginning to fall behind us as we began to see the nocturnal and galaxy like appearance of the Star Realm ahead. Then that went behind us too and we saw the familiar sight of flowing rivers, emerald leaves in forests that looked like it came from a fairy tale. Our old home, The Emerald Realm, the birthplace of the lost Moon Kingdom.

Staring down at the realm as I also petted Cyria's scales, I felt a little sentimental seeing what we have lost.

Despite all that, the view of the Floral Realm was finally ahead of us, leaving the Emerald Realm behind us. "We're here." I said quietly.

All around were bushes of roses, fields of roses wrapped in vines, pink and white cherry blossom forests, and there ahead of us, was a white shimmering castle. "Āeksion." I said to Cyria and she began to lower to the ground.

Outside the castle were gardens of rose bushes lined up and the entrance was a white arch wrapped around in forest green vines and pink peonies. There were fountains that were the shape of swans on either side.

I got off of Cyria then helped Nicholas get off. Then I brought my head to Cyria before me and Nicholas nodded to each other and walked back up to the castle.

We walked up the stairs and I looked up and fixed my posture before opening the door.

"Well if it isn't Azalea Stormfyre." A voice said and I groaned.

"My name isn't Azalea, Eysal." I looked at him with red eyes.

"My bad, Ryoko." He said. He wasn't visible, he was just a shadow with a flower aura.

Nicholas looked confused.

"Who is this fine gentleman, Sister?" Eysal asked as he appeared behind Nicholas.

"My name is Nicholas." Nicholas spun around.

"Eysal, we don't have the time for your games." I said, vines bursting out of the ground and holding his feet in place.

"Tap out." I whispered in his ear as he tapped the vines and they released.

"How may I help you my dear sister?" Eysal asked and I looked at him. My eyes went back to their original purple. "We need allies. You were the first person I thought of."

He called me sister due to the fact that I was raised with him after I was took in by his family, we weren't always this close but we grew closer through the years.

Eysal nodded and held out his hand, Nicholas shook it before we went inside the castle.

All around were vines and flowers of all types. There were staircases with bushes of flowers lining the sides.

Eysel then took us to the dining room and sat down.

"So, you want to be allies?" Eysel asked. "Yes." Nicholas answered.

"Well, I can make that happen. I just need you to swear that you will do whatever it costs to keep this alliance, and then I'll swear the same to you." Eysal said, glancing at me.

Nicholas straightened his posture. "I, Nicholas Elinar, Crown Prince of the Moon Kingdom, swear to you, Eysal Stormfyre, King Of The Serenity Kingdom and Protector of the Realm, that I will do whatever it costs to keep this alliance." He swore.

"Good. I Eysal Stormfyre, King Of The Serenity Kingdom and Protector of the Realm swear loyalty to you, Nicholas Elinar of the Moon Kingdom." Eysal looked at me.

I had forgotten I was apart of this. "Give me your hands." I commanded, they gave me their hands and a flame lit on my finger as I cut a shallow wound into their hands as I quickly put their hands together that made a gentle golden glow and it sealed the alliance by burning their blood.

"Thank you, brother." I said as I hugged Eysal.

"Of course! But next time let's not use the vines, those can go to tight sometimes." Eysal chuckled and I just nodded.

Nicholas walked out and I followed him, waving goodbye to Eysal.

We got on Cyria and she took us back to the house in the Eclipse Realm and when we walked in, Damion looked back and I teleported to the table and grabbed the last cookie and ate it right infront of him.

"Yumm!" I smiled as Damion pouted and I laughed as I opened the fridge and there was a bunch of different baked goods.

Damion went at it as I looked at London and Lou.

"We have the Serenity Kingdom with us."
