Quick little note here since I kind of did two things one by accident and one without mentioning it one I accidentally called the last chapter chapter 4 instead of chapter 2 that's my mistake also if you're skipping chapter 1 please go read it you'll miss parts of the story and not understand a few things especially how James was injured to where it was significant to be mentioned and the last part moving on a few of you may be wondering why James or what he's going by now eivor didn't absorb monster parts into his shield and if he did why didn't he mention it well to say it bluntly I forgot to mention it that doesn't mean it didn't happen I'm just saying that it happened most of stuff that happened to the main character in writing the shield hero I'm not going to look up his name or even try to spell it because I'm bad at spelling and commonly missed the words and have to use the voiceover feature whatever is actually called and it auto corrects some times and I'm not in the mood to look up his name so anyways if I didn't mention it either one of two things one it did happen and I just didn't mention it because it would be a waste of time or two I'll explain what happened later in the story and if I decided to change it or not case in point what happened last chapter towards the end I guarantee you none of you expected it if you didn't read the bio one of the 42 people who did rated and you were one who didn't would have seen that he was going to do that anyways I'm going to stop rambling let's get into the chapter.

: the guards and the four heroes involving their parties somehow managed to get onto their feet even if they feel intense bloodlust from The shield hero or what they now call the last of the Raven clan or wolf kissed but surprisingly before they do that the three heroes stand in front of the guards and their parties as the de facto leader or at least self-proclaimed motoyasu stood in front of everybody else and had the gull to say:
'either you surrender now or your punishment will be worse than execution even if I want to kill someone who did that to their own flesh and blood'
: as if everyone heard a voice in their head all of them hearing at the exact same time you shouldn't have said that as the immediate notice of instant movement from James different looked to the ground before his hand reached for his dagger and threw it at blinding speed directly for the head of the spear hero as he's barely able to move out the way it grazing his cheek cutting him a bit before it directly impales into one of the guards skulls killing him instantly as the same guard goes flying into the wall cracks forming as James instead of saying anything just sat there quiet for a moment but you only sound anyone could hear for miles was the distant crackling of a raging fire as he suddenly just began laughing as if he finally lost it:
