Seventeen were having their 3rd world tour and everyone was excited but Joshua, because it would be Seokmin and his girlfriend's year anniversary today.
And Joshua wasn't looking forward to it at all.
Now you might be thinking 'Why isn't he excited?' It's because he has had the biggest crush on the younger since predebut.
His girlfriend isn't the nicest; she hates Joshua for no reason. Even the rest of Seventeen has noticed the actions that she would do towards Joshua like she would threaten to tell Seokmin his feelings or hit him.
She would only keep your fake nice act when Seokmin was around, Joshua has always been told that Seokmin was only with her to hide his feelings for him.
But did Joshua believe them? no.
"Why would he like someone like me?" Joshua asked.
"Who wouldn't like someone like you? Josh, do you see the way he looks at you; I think the others, can see the heart eyes he has for you and for you only" Seungkwan said.
Joshua sighed as he let his stylist do his hair for their next performance "Well we should go on stage" he grabbed Seungkwans arm to bring him to the others.
Seokmin's smile grew wider once he spotted Joshua; which didn't go unnoticed by the other members. They gave each other looks while they watched Seokmin wrap his arms around Joshua.
They two broke apart when Seungcheol cleared his throat "Get in position" They both nodded and stood where they were told to.
Joshua could hear carats cheer once they were lifted on stage and he could hear Seokmin's voice reach his ears so he turned to the boy; who was on the big screen.
He felt someone nudge him and looked to see Jeonghan smirking at him so he pushed the boy lightly and then sang his lines smoothly; like nothing happened.
Once they performed, Seokmin quickly rushed around backstage, which confuses Joshua but he doesn't question the boy
Seokmin gets dressed into something different and then goes towards some of the members "I think I'm ready" he smiled, Soonyoung patted his back "She'll love it"
Oh, they think his solo performance is for his girlfriend; I mean it is their first anniversary but it's actually for someone very special to him, but they don't know that.
So he played it cool and just nodded his head as he started walking on stage.
Joshua watched his every movement until Jeonghan pulled him to the big TV so they could watch Seokmin performance.
"um hi, I decided to sing a song for someone very dear to me" Seokmin started.
Joshua froze when he heard those words, so he got up and left; he didn't want to watch his crush sing a song to his girlfriend.
He couldn't handle watching the boy he liked, be so in love with someone else that wasn't him.
Everyone else watched him get up and run towards the dressing rooms, Jeonghan quickly followed after him "Josh?" he didn't get a response but he could hear a silent sob.
Play double take
As for everyone else, they stayed to watch their friend's performance. "To think about you in that way" Seokmin was singing his heart out; like he usually does.
Jun turns to the others "Wait a minute, why is he singing an English song? His girlfriend doesn't understand English" Everyone nodded in agreement.
"And I pretend I'm happy for you" Seokmin's girlfriend's smile slowly faded; he showed her the song that he was going to play for her and this sounded nothing like it.
Seokmin wasn't even looking at the crowd because the only one he could think of was a certain American, that his heart loved dearly.
"I don't see nobody but you" Seokmin smiled at the words as he played the piano.
Joshua still could hear Seokmin sing while Jeonghan was hugging him; trying to calm him down. He froze when he heard the song that the younger was singing.
It was the very first English song that Joshua taught Seokmin.
Joshua got up and grabbed Jeonghan's hand and walked to the others. He sees Seokmin playing the piano while he is singing the said song.
"Boy, you got me hooked onto something"
"Boy?" Minghao asked.
"Oh he is not talking about his girlfriend," Chan said.
"Then who is he talking about?" Mingyu asked.
They all turned to Joshua "what?" They all gave each other a look "Guys, come on tell me" Joshua pleaded while he grabbed Jeonghan's hand.
They didn't answer, instead. They turned back around to the TV in front of them "It seems like yesterday when I said 'We'll be friends forever'"
"See I told you" Soonyoung jumps.
"Huh, what are you on about?" Joshua asked.
Jeonghan sighed "Josh, think about this...Seokmin's 'girlfriend' doesn't even understand English and there are two people that he knows that do; you and Vernon. But Vernon is dating Seungkwan....so who does that leave?"
Joshua's eyes widened "Jeonghan shut up, stop getting my hopes up. It doesn't help"
The others all groaned "You guys are oblivious like I feel sick" Jun joked but got smacked in the head by Minghao.
Wonwoo was just watching everyone talk but then he heard Mingyu mention him "Baby, why are you so quiet?" Wonwoo glared at him "Because I don't feel like talking"
"You know something," Vernon said.
Wonwoo shut his mouth when those words were said "I don't know what you talking about"
"Come on tell us" Seungcheol whined.
"Ugh fine, but you have to promise that you won't tell Seokmin that I told you guys"
Wonwoo sighed "Seokmin came to me yesterday and told me to help him find the song that Joshua taught him, and that's all I know"
Joshua still didn't believed but the music stopped so everyone turned to the TV to see Seokmin getting up; from where he was sitting.
"Thank you everyone" the younger smiled "So this song is for someone, that I have been meaning to tell him how I feel for a while now"
"Joshua"
Everyone turned to Joshua as they waited for his reaction; to see what he was going to do.
"I want to say that I have been in love with you for such a long time and even if you didn't feel the same way then I hope we can still be friends after this"
"Go on" Jeonghan whispered to him.
Joshua nodded before rushing to go on stage to see the younger. Staff helped him up as he entered the stage. He put a finger in front of his mouth; to tell carats to be quiet and they listened.
Seokmin had no idea that Joshua was behind him until he felt a tap on his back. He turned around and to his surprise, Joshua was smiling right at him.
"Josh-"
Joshua did the one thing that he thought he would never have the chance to do, he grabbed Seokmin's face and kissed him.
Carats were cheering and so were the other members; backstage, you probably couldn't hear them but they were just as happy as carats.
Seokmin hands held Joshua's waist as they pulled away but this time, they both had big smiles on their faces "I love you"
Joshua wraps his arms around Seokmin's neck; hugging him.
"I love you more"
