Cassie's Pov:
I arrived and the PC with my best friend Jessica ( Billie Kay) and we walk in and several wrestlers are already around the ring and there is a certain buzz and gossip for some reason. "Hey Jess what's the chatter about?" I asked. Jessica and I then overheard Matt Bloom talking to Hunter about this new talent coming in. "Paul are you sure about signing him, he has a history of past issues is he clean"? Paul looked and him and smiled. "Yes Matt he's clean he's been in our rehab program for about 5 months and now he told me himself that he's ready." All the people around the ring were wondering who this new signing could be as well. Hunter then told us and I was shocked, "Matt Brown is coming to NXT everyone and I promise you he's gonna be just fine".
Jess and I could hardly believe it, the Matt Brown is coming to WWE. The viral indy star who had great potential but got arrested due to drugs and alcohol. Everyone has vices and maybe he has changed. Im still recovering from my and Ron's breakup and it's been hard for sure. We both had idea what to think and we didn't get time to because in the front door comes the man himself Matt Brown. "Damn he's kinda cute I thought." He came in and shook hunters and Matt's hands and introduced himself to Everyone and then walked towards me and Jess and I was starstruck not gonna lie.
"Hello ladies I'm Matt nice to meet you." Jess and I looked at each other and smiled. "Hi I'm Jess mate and this is my beat friend cassie nice to meet you too." Then something happened that I didn't expect, we locked eyes and couldn't take our eyes off each other and that gaze lasted for a few minutes. Something felt right about this for sure.
