malia was perched on her bed, idly tapping her pencil against her notebook while her gaze drifted blankly across the page. on this breezy night in los angeles, the actress malia baker found herself cozied up in her pajamas, surrounded by pillows, her laptop, and scattered journals as she struggled to tackle her math homework. it was proving to be quite the headache.

"ugh!" malia exclaimed, erasing her doodles for what felt like the millionth time, fully aware that she had gotten the answer wrong.

just then, the door swung open, and malia, deeply absorbed in her homework, didn't even glance up to acknowledge the newcomer.

"malia..." came a soft, urgent voice.

the plea registered in malia's mind, and she immediately recognized who had entered her room.

it was kylie cantrall.

malia suddenly remembered that kylie was still around. the two actresses had attended disney's emmy award celebration and had an amazing time together. after a fun-filled night, kylie chose to crash at malia's place. however, malia was so absorbed in her studies that she barely had a moment to enjoy kylie's company.

kylie approached her, sitting down beside her on the bed. for a moment, she simply lingered there before resting her head on malia's shoulder and scooting in closer.

the gentle nudge from kylie caused malia's pencil to slip, resulting in a messy scribble on the page.

taking a sharp breath, malia's tone turned serious.

"not now, kylie."

kylie's expression turned to a soft pout at her words. she longed for a pet name or a sweet gesture, and this wasn't the malia she craved to be with at that moment-or ever.

true to her nature, kylie was not one to back down easily. she adjusted her position and inched closer, nestling her face into the crook of malia's neck while her fingers played with the ends of malia's newly straightened hair.

"kylie, please," malia pleaded, trying to distance herself by giving her a gentle push. with a huff and a roll of her eyes, malia pressed her hands to her temples, glaring at her work.

kylie whined softly, feeling an overwhelming urge for malia that she simply couldn't shake off. she didn't want to make a fuss, but the desire was more intense than ever.

she reached out and took malia's hand, lightly rubbing her thumb against her skin. malia's pencil lifted from the paper, throwing her into a panic. she desperately wanted to finish her work.

"KYLIE, CAN YOU PLEASE JUST LEAVE ME ALONE? I NEED TO GET THIS DONE!" malia shouted, her frustration making kylie flinch and whimper in response.

malia, her patience exhausted, snatched her notebook and stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind her. she slumped onto the couch in the living room, frustration radiating from her.

focusing back on her work, her thoughts swirled around in her head, finally settling into a calmer, more contemplative state.

malia stared at her homework, her mind stubbornly refusing to focus.

the thought of kylie, always so clingy, felt heavier tonight. it wasn't unusual, but this time felt different, more urgent. normally, kylie would understand when malia said she had work to do - wait! that was it! the normal kylie would have understood.

"shit," malia muttered, her voice laced with remorse and realization.

kylie was slipping into little space right in front of her, or at least trying to.

the fidgeting, the whining, the whimpering, it all made sense now. those were her signs, signs malia had been too engrossed in her own world to recognize.

with a soft sigh, malia stood up, making her way down the dimly lit hallway, and back to her room.

she slowly opened the door, only to be met with the sight of kylie lying on her bed, her back turn towards the girl. malia softly shut the door, and walked over to the other side of her bed.

she hopped onto the bed and layed on her side, meeting kylie's gaze.

just like she had thought, the actress had tear stained cheeks as her thumb was in her mouth, softly sucking on it.

the whole age regression was new to kylie and it was honestly really hard for kylie to slip, and malia could only image how hard it was for her to slip in a setting she wasn't always used too.

"kylie cakes..." malia softly said, her finger moving up to gently stroke kylie's hair, kylie's gaze never leaving malia's.

"i'm sorry, my love," malia apologized, her voice filled with remorse.

kylie shook her head, a sob escaping her lips. "didn't wanna make mimi mad," she whimpered, her voice slightly stifled by her thumb.

"you didn't make mimi mad, princess. mimi just had to get some homework done, but that's no excuse to yell at you," malia said, her voice soft and tender.

kylie nodded softly, her brown eyes glistening.

malia gazed at the girl sweetly, her thumb reaching up to brush a tear away that rolled down kylie's cheek.

"pretty baby," malia gushed.

kylie softly giggled, smiling around her thumb, causing malia to chuckle as well.

"mimi's gonna make you feel better tonight, okay. i promise," malia reassured, her hand moving to the hand that latched her mouth onto, caressing her skin.

kylie nodded, scooting over to snuggle against malia's chest, feeling safer than ever.
