Mia's POV

I was on the way to school by bus. The seats were uncomfortable and all the little children were chattering loudly and doing gymnastics around the bus. To distract and organize my thoughts, I decided to take out my headphones and listen to something by my favorite singer 'Alexander Stewart'. When my favorite picture of him, “Life at first sight,” came along, I had to get out. I strolled through the schoolyard to the wooden main door. It was visibly pleasant to finally get some warm air again, because it was September and the temperature outside was quite low. After climbing what felt like the never-ending stairs, I ran to my classroom where my best friend Emma was already happily waiting for me.

E: Oh my God, there you finally are! You have to tell me everything!

M: Yes, chill, let's walk around the auditorium and I'll explain everything.

E: then let’s go!

*after about 10 minutes of Paul talk*

E: And now? What are you doing now? Do you think he likes you?

M: Oh god, I don't know either, I hope so

E: Whatever, we'd better discuss this later, we'll have Spanish soon!
I'm happy!

M: But only because then you can stalk Tom

E: hello? That's not stalking, that's just looking for important information and hoping he notices me, but whatever

*on the way to the classroom*

E: Oh my god, MIA!!!! There! There's Paul!

M: What? Where?!

Paul's POV

I was just on my way to the physics hall when I heard someone say my name. Of course, I immediately turned to the person and next to her was Mia, my best friend's sister and my crush.
My eyes were fixed on her. It was as if everything had happened in slow motion.Suddenly the voice of one of my friends named Aaron broke my thoughts.

A: Hey man, are you okay? You're kind of pale but also as red as my grandma's red car. What's wrong, you seem like your brain is on another planet.

P: Huh? Yes, sorry, not keen on chemicals.

A: God, I hope she doesn't ask questions today. I don't think anyone has learned.

P: When Ms. Weise questions me, I literally jump out the window

A: HAHA I want to see that

I tried to cover up the fluttering butterflies in my stomach with my sarcasm. Whether it worked is a different question. I just can't stop thinking about her. Her dark brown, almost black eyes. Her shiny, wavy hair. Simply everything...
I've never thought of anyone like that before.
I mean, love is complicated enough as it is, but then I have to fall in love with my best friend's sister. There must be something wrong with me, right?
