Being sick already sucks, but now having a stalker? It's just great, what more could possibly happen now? Feeling completely drained, you lie in bed, desperately trying to get some rest. Closing your eyes, hoping to escape even for a moment, you are interrupted by a sound coming from your kitchen.
Your eyes flutter open to the sound of footsteps approaching your room. The scent of homemade soup fills the air, mixed with the subtle aroma of something else that sends a shiver down your spine. Bucciarati enters the room with a tray in hand, a warm smile on his face that doesn't quite reach his icy blue eyes.
Yes, that's right. Bucciarati turned out to be your stalker, and he just wouldn't leave you alone ever since the time you saved his life when he was gravely wounded.
Most people, in this situation, would have chosen to walk away and forget about it, but not you. Your kind heart pushed you to help him recover and get back on his feet.
Little did you know, that act of kindness would become a chain linking you to him. Bucciarati became relentless in his pursuit of being by your side, constantly trying to please you in any way possible.
"Here you go, amore," he says as he sets the tray on your lap, "I made your favorite. Just for you."
You eye the soup warily, but hunger gnaws at your stomach, overpowering any reservations you may have. As you take the first spoonful, you can't help but admit that Bucciarati's culinary skills are impressive. However, a sense of unease creeps up on you as he watches your every movement with unwavering attention.
You later find out about his true identity as a gangster. Naturally, this discovery might have sent others into a state of panic, but you somehow managed to maintain your composure.
"You're such a delicate creature," he murmurs, his voice filled with a strange mix of adoration and possessiveness.
You swallow uncomfortably, unsure of how to respond. Keeping your eyes focused on the soup, you try to gather your thoughts, but the weight of his gaze makes it feel like your every move is being scrutinized.
"Bucciarati, I appreciate your concern," you finally say, trying to sound as diplomatic as possible, "but I need my own space and privacy."
His smile falters for a moment, his grip on the tray tightening almost imperceptibly. But just as quickly, his expression softens and he leans closer, his warm breath ghosting against your ear.
"I can't help myself, amore," he whispers, his voice dripping with a mixture of affection and possessiveness, "I love you too much to stay away."
Your heart pounds in your chest as his words sink in. This isn't concern, this is obsession. The realization sends a cold chill down your spine, but you keep your composure, determined not to show your fear.
"Suffocating me won't make me love you," you say firmly, setting the empty bowl aside.
Bucciarati's smile turns strained, his grip on the tray nearly shattering it, but he quickly regains his composure.
"I only want what's best for you, amore," he insists, his voice laced with a desperate plea.
You said nothing, simply staring at him, your mind lost in a whirlwind of emotions. Bucciarati's smile softened as he gently pushed you back onto the bed, urging you to rest.
"Just rest for now," he said, his voice filled with understanding. "I forgive you, and I know you're under a lot of stress. Relax, I'll take care of everything."
Though you wanted to stop him, to tell him that you were fine and didn't need his constant support, fatigue gnawed at your bones. In silence, you allowed yourself to sink into the soft embrace of the mattress.
Bucciarati's smile lingered on his lips as he stepped away. "Bye amore," he said, a touch of sadness in his voice. "I may need to go, but I'll come back to check on you."
As the door softly closed behind him. Maybe this wasn't so bad after all.
You can just sit down and rest all day and night, not having to worry about a single thing. Being sick has its perks, like not having to go to work or deal with annoying customers all the time.
Bucciarati, as strange as it may sound, is actually a rather good man. Sure, he can be a bit controlling at times, but deep down, he just wants what's best for you. Plus, he excels at taking care of the house and making sure everything is in order, Like a good housewife.
Maybe, just maybe, you should give Bucciarati a chance. Once you get better, perhaps you could go on a little date together and see where things go. Who knows, maybe he'll surprise you with his genuine care and affection.
