Craige Series: Lure Thy Beauty

CHAPTER 2

Boredom was visible on Vinze face while the whole crowd around him is bustling with noise and people's chatter. 

'I wish I could just ditch this and go for a race.'

He lost the bet with his twin and cousins last week, the reason why he had to attend this so called event. Vinze was never a fan of any gatherings unlike his twin Veno who's always the star of every party, the only party Vinze usually attends are family gatherings which is very restricted and rarely happens. Napabuntong hininga na lamang sya ng maalala ang dahilan kung ba't sya nasa event.

'That fcker just had to open his goddamn mouth, tch.'

Maya-maya pa ay mas marami pang bisita ang dumating, tumayo siya sa kinauupuan at naglakad patungo sa babaeng pakay nya sa event na'yon.

'Veno, that fcker better pray this ends up well. Kung hindi, talaga namang papasabugin ko ang bahay mo'

As he walk along the midst, people parted and as if giving him way, he was lead to a another table. A woman was sitting across looking bored too.

'She's pretty.'

With her long curly hair, fair skin, bluesh eyes, small nose, and pretty kissable lips. Vinze was in awe, it's as if he's staring at a goddess, as he walks closer to the table Vinze has a lot of unexplainable thoughts running in his head. Napabalik sya sa reyalidad ng mabangga sya ng isang waiter.

"I'm sorry, Sir. Hindi ko po sinasadya, pasensya na" paghingi nito ng paumanhin.

"It's okay, I was at fault too. Go on." Mahinahon nyang sagot saka dumiretso at naupo sa harap ng babaeng nakakuha ng atensyon nya.

"Hi, are you alone? Bored?" Bati nya rito.

"No, I'm not alone. But yes I am bored. And you? Which of the twins, Vince or Vinze?" Sagot naman nito sa kanya, her voice was soft that it almost sounded like a melody in his ears.

'God! I could listen to her talk all day.'

He cleared his throat and flash an awkward smile.

'That was stupid'

"Oh you know us, Vinze A." Pagpapakilala nya saka inabot ang kamay.

"Well everyone knows the Craige-Mendoza Twins. Klea." She replied and held his hand. Her soft hands gave him chills, and he liked that feeling.

"Uhm, my hand" alanganing sambit nito kaya naman napabitaw sya bigla at naupong maayos.

'The hell Vinze! What's gotten into you man!?"

"Sorry, so Klea who're you with tonight?" Pag-iiba nya ng usapan. Ngumiti naman ito sa kanya saka nagsalita.

"My best friend, but she had to leave earlier. Ikaw ba? I saw you looking so bored kanina. I had a hunch that you were Vinze." Natatawang sagot nya.

'Good lord, her laugh! Control yourself Vinze, you're not an animal!'

"Yeah, just me. I lost the bet with my twin and cousins, kaya ito this is my punishment." Vinze answered.

"Ohkay" sagot nito sa kanya saka nanahimik at uminom na lang ng kung ano man ang nasa lamesa.

'Well, this is awkward. I don't know how to have a decent conversation with a woman!'

"Wanna go for a ride?" He asked her, after drinking two glasses of whiskey.

"Okay" sagot nito saka tumayo. A small smile was visible on Vinze's face, he didn't expect her to aggree. He then stood up and guide her outside where his motorcycle is park.

"Wow, nice bike." Klea said, as soon as she saw Vinze walking near it.

"Thanks, here. Hop on." Sagot nito saka inabot sa kanya ang isa pang helmet.

"So, san tayo pupunta?" Tanong nya ng maisuot ang helmet at maka-angkas na sa motor.

"Wherever the road takes us. Or rather kung hanggang san aabutin ng gas ko." Sagot nito sa kanya, kaya naman hinampas nya ito sa balikat.

"Baliw!" Natatawang sabi nya saka yumakap sa bewang ni Vinze, she felt him flinch as she wrapped her hands in his waist.

'He's well built. Damn! I can feel his abs.'

Napalunok siya at pinisil ang sariling kamay.

"H-Hey, you okay Vinze?" Medyo kabadong tanong nya rito, she's trying her best not to roam her hands in his body.

"Y-yeah, I'm good. Let's go" sagot nito saka pinaandar ang motor. She can feel the cold breeze embracing her and Vinze warmth makes her comfortable.

Hindi nya maintindihan kung bakit, but Vinze presence gives him some sense of peace. She usually wouldn't even spare a glance on anyone or would say a word if they talk to her, but with Vinze its different. Maybe that's the reason she agreed to go even though she knows her Mom would throw a fit kapag nalaman nitong hindi niya sinunod ang utos nito and that is to meet up with the Arellano's Heir. She knows what would happen after what she did, but just tonight she wanted to be in control of her life.

'Just for tonight. I wanted to be free.'

Mabilis ang takbo ng motor ni Vinze, he's used to driving fast cause he likes the thrill and the moment. He felt Klea hugging him tight, it made him smile, her warmth was so comforting and she smells good, that he wants to wear her scent. Ipinilig nya ang sarili, he's having weird thoughts again.

"Are you okay? Should I slow down?" He asked in his calm voice.

"No, its okay. I like it, may ibibilis pa ba 'to?" she asked him, her voice sounded so happy almost like a child having her first bike ride with her Dad.

He smiled and drove faster, Klea removed her hands around his waist and raised them like she's embracing the wind. Vinze let out a small laughter, he knows this night is gonna be one of the best night in his life and he'd probably thank his twin for giving him the chance.
