My name is Porkfinity. I am an adventurer. This is my story.

I found myself standing in a room, and there was someone standing in front of me. They seemed to be speaking to me, but I could not, for the life of me, remember what was happening.

There was nothing in my mind. I had no memories. Anything before that moment was a complete blank.

The man seemed to be expecting something from me.

In a sea of darkness, something rose to the surface. Something tangible. A word.

A name.

"Porkfinity." I heard myself say.

"Greetings, Porkfinity!" The man said, then gestured around them to the plain looking room, "I see you are a new arrival. It is my job to welcome all new visitors. So, welcome!"

"What?" I said lamely, feeling confused.

"I can see you are unfamiliar with your current surroundings," the man said, gesturing around again, "Worry not, however. We here on the island will teach you the ways of survival!" He posed grandly, and sent me out the front door, seemingly done with me.

From the house, I followed a dirt path down the grassy hill. A small pond revealed itself before me, and a woman, dressed in light red robes, standing near it. She waved to me, and I walked up to her.

She bowed, smiling, "Hello there, new one. My name is Brynna. It is my job to teach you about the skills you can use to survive in this world."

"Hello Brynna," I said, "My name is Porkfinity."

"It is an honor," Brynna said, smiling again. She reached into a pouch at her side, and produced a net of some kind, handing it over to me. "This is a small fishing net. I would like you to go and use it in that pond."

"Use it?" I asked, "I don't know how to."

Brynna laughed, "I know that, Porkfinity. I would not ask you to fish for lobsters with your experience level! We will start you out small," she gestured to the pond, "This water contains shrimp. An easy enough catch. Just go and kneel by the edge, and dip the net into the water, and wait."

I looked at the net in my hands, shrugged and did as she said. Kneeling next to the water with my net submerged, I doubted I would catch anything.

But, after only a few moments, I felt something squirming around in my net. I lifted the net from the water, and was delighted to find a few shrimp caught in there. I looked to Brynna with a look of excitement, and she clapped.

After fishing a little while longer, Brynna produced an axe, and a box of tinder. We spent the next thirty minutes swinging that axe into a nearby tree, until it fell. Using the wood from the tree, we created a fire.
