"Can't keep my hands to myself

I mean, I could but why would I want to?"

Hands To Myself by Selena Gomez

JULIET

Hammer's driving kinda fast to make up for the time we lost being stuck there. We told him we can all sleep in but he's still trying to be efficient.

We put up the partition for privacy. Romeo starts kissing me.

"I don't think I can wait until we get home." he says.

"Wait, wait, wait." I say sitting up and pulling my dress down. "Not with Hammer there. If he was someone anonymous maybe, but not Hammer."

"Fair enough."

He holds my hand and then brings it to his lips and kisses each of my fingers. "This was good. I'm glad you suggested it."

I smile and then stare out thinking about one part of the night he might not have been so happy about.

When Evana took me back there towards the restrooms, that hitchhiker Lysander was standing there. He didn't seem all that surprised to see me. Evana noticed that we recognised each other.

She pushed me into the restroom. "Do you know that man?"

"We gave him a ride for part of the way here. He said he was heading to a Lake Town."

"Oh that's just on the other side of the highway here."

"Really? This part of the country is so confusing to me." I say.

I use the bathroom and as I'm about to walk out of the stall I see a branded baggie with a symbol I recognized as an early Capulet crest. Clearly there were drugs in here. I'd never seen our name on something like this. I knew we were somewhat involved in less than legal activities but we're also the most powerful family alongside the Montagues so we're untouchable. Nothing is truly out of bounds for us if we feel it's in the service of the family. Drugs. Murder apparently.

I come out before Evana is done and Lysander is still there.

"I like the new look." Lysander says, pointing to my hair. "So where's your friend?" he asks.

"Who?"

"Robin?" he says, it's obvious he knows who we really are.

"So you know who we are?"

"Y'all are kind of famous, Miss Capulet."

"Ah, no it's Lady Montague."

"Ah, of course." He smiles, kinda flirtatiously. "Well if y'all are hiring anymore security folks for that big mansion, don't look any further, I'm your guy. I wouldn't let anything happen to you...Or Romeo."

Is he flirting?

"Well Hammer is our head of security."

"It would be so great if you would consider me. Things didn't work out with my friends and I'm couch-surfing in town."

I feel bad but I don't want to get involved.

"Well, good luck." I say and I make my way back to the dance floor. I see Romeo.

Something about giving ourselves permission to just be a normal couple has made this the best night since we've been married.

On the dance floor his hands were all over me in all the right places. Teasing me. Keeping me on my toes. I wanted to go home but then the most magical, sexy thing happened. The sprinklers went off. We were wet and kissing, the water washing the sweat off after all that dancing. It was amazing.
