I laughed, the smile almost splitting my face in two.
"You think I might LOSE?" I asked the Peridot before me.
"N-N-No ma'am, I just think," She tried to spit out.
"That's all you Peridot's do!" I interrupted her voice with my much better one, "While we fight you do your boring 'calculations' that do nothing!" I tell her.
"T-They may be boring," she responded, "But they help win the battle a predict how the rebels,"
"I don't need calculations to know if I'm going to win," I try and explain to the Peridot, "I know I'm going to win because I'm the best," I tell her.
To make my point I pull my broadsword from my gem in my shoulder and slam it into the ground. Making a crack next to the captain's seat I'm sitting in
"There is no reason to pull that out," the Peridot stupidly says nervously eyeing it.
"Of course there was," I explain, "To prove that I can take them out easily," I say while swinging the large broadsword.
"That doesn't prove anything!" the Peridot exclaimed, "The rebels have something special, how else could they have been winning against Homeworld? If we could do some information gathering your chances of winning would-"
"My chances of winning are one hundred percent," I tell the Peridot while getting up and walking towards her, "If you can't see that then I don't think you're a good fit for the crew," I say while pulling my sword high above me.
"Please," the Peridot begs, "Be reasonable," she says before I split her down the middle.
A light clink is heard as her gem hits the sold metal ground of my ship.
Suddenly, the other gems around me started to clap and cheer me. As they usually do, they fear me and love me, as they should.
As I put away my broadsword, some of the applause dying down as I do so, I sit back in my chair and look out into space.
Sitting down I look into the space we are flying through and know that I am greater than the even the stars that surround me. These 'Crytal Gems' have no hope.
I don't even need this crew, their only here because the Diamonds don't believe in my brilliance.
But one day, I will become like them. I'm already perfect, I just need to be stronger, I just need to command more gems.
Perhaps they have sent me on this mission to train me in controlling gems?
Yes that must be it! I knew the Diamonds could see how bright I am.
All I need to do is get down to earth, destroy the rebels and show the Diamonds that they were right.
First steps about to be done considering we're entering earth orbit now.
"Ma'am!" a random Topaz says coming up to me, "Our landing site seems to be inhabited by the locals, should we move it ma'am?" The gem then asks.
"What kind of question is that?" I respond, "Land as planed the locals don't matter," I tell her.
"Ma'am!" the Topaz says before running back to wherever she works.
I'm not letting some locals get in my way of destroying the rebels.
Landing in place I order my gems to let me come out of the ship first. After all this is being recorded and I know the Diamonds are paying special attention to me.
Walking out I hear the locals start to ask questions, some even now before me.
"Kill the ones who aren't bowing," I say getting the dumb locals out of the way so only the smart can answer me.
With a battle cry, they run out and start killing any local who wasn't bowing.
Some of them start to run away, the gems catch most of them but a few slip by.
I could catch and kill them, but there is no need for me to fix the mistake of my gems.
"Well then," I say gathering the attention of the locals and gems.
"Can any of you tell me about the 'Crystal Gems'?"
-------------------------I am the unluckiest gem in the galaxy.
Of all the high up gems I had to serve under it had to be this Emerald.
She is a legend back on Homeworld, her strength is incredible, and so is her pride.
She takes out and swings this huge broadsword whenever she feels slightly insulted, and poofs any gem who doesn't do what she says.
On a whim she ordered everyone to call her 'Ma'am'. When a gem called her Emerald by mistake, she berated them before poofing and bubbling them.
And now she's interrogating some local of this planet.
It's obvious the local doesn't know anything, but the rest of the gems are too scared to tell her that.
I certainly am not going to be the one to tell her, don't want to be in a bubble until the next era.
"I have found the location of the rebel base!" Emerald suddenly yelled out.
Looking at the local they seem relieved that whatever they told her convinced her.
"We are leaving that way now!" She said pointing her finger to the left.
Not one of us moved, worried that if we did we might be going the 'wrong way' and be poofed.
"Did you not hear me?" she then asked, "Do I have to do everything myself?" she said before walking in a different direction than she was pointing.
Wordlessly we followed her foot steps.
As each of us exchanged glances I knew that we were all thinking the same thought.
Maybe joining the Crystal Gems wouldn't be the worst idea.
