heeseungs over the moon right now. there has never been a day so good for him where everyone attention is on lee heeseung, a day where he can see sunghoons shocked and surprised face, a day where..

he's arrested jake sim.

reporters are crowding heeseung all because of his amazing job at capturing a wanted for too long criminal.

"mr. lee! mr. lee! answer our questions!" is being chanted all around him. 

this is the day heeseung can see jake's face in ruins, in despair, in..

why is jake so weirdly fluttering his eyelashes at heeseung? he's quite literally being arrested on the spot. what a weirdo. 

jake just so happens to be also over the moon right now. who knew the day would come where heeseungs holding his wrists... with handcuffs around his wrist. a day where he so happily danced with heeseung.. when heeseung was also suspicious of jake the entire time even when drunk. 

then it hits him, jay is probably freaking out like crazy right now. 

whatever!

jay better congratulate jake, he told jake heeseung would never want to be even 6 feet close to him, but here he is now! holding jakes wrists!

heeseung fixes his tie to answer the reporters.

"yes, jake sim is being arrested.. under uhm, theft, and well.. so on!" heeseung answers the reporter.

"people are saying 'jake sim is too hot to be arrested' and are protesting against this, how do you feel about this, mr. lee?" 

heeseung rubs his neck. "theyre saying that..? well uhm! a person should be arrested for crime they committed no matter if theyre hot or not." 

heeseungs fumbling.. he may or not still be a little tipsy. 

looking at jake, heeseung blinks when he sees him batting his eyelashes more at heeseung with a so weird grin. what is wrong with this guy? 

jake can't possibly get more happier.. did lee heeseung just indirectly call him hot? fuck!

right then the reporters turn to jake while jake's being dragged down the stairs away from the mobbing reporters. 

"jake sim, you're known as one of the best criminals, how does it feel to be arrested? do you plan on getting out soon?" 

jake shrugs. "I dunno? im.. hungry."

heeseung grimaces.

honestly, what an unbelievably weird guy.

heeseung nervously waits out the room where jake, and his lawyer - yang jungwon - are avoiding each and every question being asked. why is he even defending an obvious criminal? he must be  being paid a whole lot.

jake is definitely being arrested for theft, trespassing, speeding.. all of the above! 

after a few more nervous thoughts, it suddenly hits heeseung.. the ladies are going to be swarming heeseung after he's now known as the police detective who so skillfully - 100 percent not drunk - arrested jake sim.

his handsome face is even on the news! heeseung smirks to himself like an idiot, imagining all the calls he'd get if his phone number would be put there.. 

wait. why would his phone number even be on the news? heeseung shivers snapping out of it.

all his hard work for months is finally being paid off.

right then, his boss exits the room where the questioning is being placed, obviously looking annoyed. heeseung immediately stands up and bows politely. 

he overhears the talking in the room..

"why are you denying the speeding claim, we have evidence for that." the guy doing the questioning seemingly repeats. "I dont see no evidence, therefore, no evidence." jungwon states clearly. as if he had done something..

the guy takes out the clear and well picture of jake in a car, that's also clearly speeding. 

"ohh shit.. they got my face." jake mutters. jungwon clears his throat not backing down. "how do you know that's him?" 

oh my gosh.. the guy questioning pinches his nose bridge.

heeseung quickly averts his gaze to his boss whose now standing right in front of him. 

"are they still not admitting anything? if you need any more evidence or files i have s-" heeseung's nervous rambling gets interrupted. "we can't arrest him." 

those words send mini panic attack in heeseung's stomach. 

was his evidence not enough? but everyone knows about jake being a criminal there can't possibly be little evidence.. 

"listen, heeseung, we need him. there's an even worse criminal case going on, and only jake is our highest hope on catching this guy. it shouldnt be so bad, jake hasn't committed murder - that we know of, whilst the other case is starting to involve even more murder with theft.

heeseung listens carefully, with clenched fists. his first thoughts are if he hadn't done a better job. if he should've spent a year instead of a few months on finding jake. and now they're letting jake go, as simple as that. 

"but, if he doesn't end up catching this man, jake will be sent straight back to the police station. and since you are such an honorable police detective, we'd like to ask for you, lee heeseung, to work with jake - make sure he doesn't do anything bad, and give him leads - and help find this man." heeseung's boss places his hands on heeseungs shoulders. 

hearing the words 'honorable police detective,' heeseung's posture straightens and his hopes go up. 

who cares if jake sim isn't going to jail! 

heeseung's too busy for that stuff.. to busy being an honorable detective. 

"yes, sir."

and so, heeseung finds himself in a car, driving to the building where diamonds were stolen by this guy. cho jaehyun. cho jaehyun has committed multiple crimes in just a span of a week. heeseung sighs and looks out the window. 

he then remembers there's an annoying ass mutt beside him who keeps batting his eyelashes at heeseung. 

"sooo do you like being a police detective? i bet you'll enjoy working with me just as well as i'm going to!" jake smiles all friendly. 

heeseung shifts with a cold glance. "whatever." he mutters. jake's heart flutters as his mind is going crazy. 

lee heeseung just responded to him! heeseung wants jake soooo bad... 

right? 

"how do you know jaehyun?" heeseung asks jake. the shorter shrugs still looking at heeseung with that lovesick puppy glint in his eyes. "i just.. i dunno, know him." 

weirdo. 

heeseung sighs and looks out the window again. "when do we arrive there? it's getting late. do we need to stay at a hotel?" heeseung asks the drivers. the driver nods. 

"you should probably stay there to inspect the crime scene and sorts." 

hearing that jake tries his best to suppress a smirk. he knows how this goes in dramas. 

lee heeseung will happen to share a hotel room with jake.. 

jake will get all scared because of who knows.. 

they'll cuddle in bed.. 

heeseung will realize how drop dead gorgeous jake is and they'll get straight to sex! 

jake happily tucks a strand off his hair behind his ear. heeseung sighs. 

heeseung has never had a more dreadful time than this. 

working with the man who he was supposed to put behind bars,

and who's acting like a complete weirdo.
