It wasn't funny.

The Demon King smiled as if he accepted the pain he received from the demigod of another world.

Stirring someone's emotions who barely holds his true form and uses his weakness without consideration.

"Deceiver"

He snaps out of his anger and finally tries to rationalise what just has happened.

He accidentally revealed his true appearance to the demon king, because he was swayed by Raven's appearance and constantly worried about his father in the demon world without the protection of the demon king.

This is the domain of the demons. The Guardian Deity can protect him very well, but one couldn't underestimate the whole demon race and the demon king who lives a longer lifespan.

Deceiver has been on edge since he arrived from the human world.

Asking a meaningless question to Papa Caver, getting shaken by the existence of Raven and slowly trying to get the whole demon race to praise him as their god.

No, he's always been on edge since Raven disappeared for 10 years.

Deceiver only managed to take a breath because of the Deon Hardt of this world. The same yet different father who gave him the same amount of love and affection.

in this world, he never unintentionally hurt his father.

'If only he didn't appear in this world...'

'Would he become happy and safe in that world? if I am gone and never appear again... will he be at peace?'

It hurts being coldly rejected by his father 'Raven' and he couldn't help but be tempted by the affection given by 'Deon Hardt'.

He willingly fell into this play of deception

because he doesn't know how to love his father.

"Deceiver"

This is the third time he called his name. The Demon King is surprisingly patient towards the man who's inflicting physical pain.

Deceiver never retracted his hands from the Demon King's neck.

"Papa Caver, don't take him away"

"Don't get in his way"

"..."

"Don't ever touch him"

The Demon King felt the trembling fingertips on his neck.

Even if he is bigger than before. This moment made Demon King realise, He is still a child who never had a chance to grow up properly and yet he has a reason to live because that man is his weakness.

But that man doesn't seem to give a damn about his child? since he is Deon in another world. shouldn't he also feel parental instinct and wanted to run to this child?

Unless that man doesn't think he have a child, then he really have no reason to take interest on Deceiver like a parent does.

So why does this child want to protect him? Was it because he looks like his father? He is similar to him. He must have sensed that man is similar to his father.

just like how they first met. The child runs up to his parents without a care in the world as if he is searching for them in ages.

The Demon King is convinced with his theory.
