Lori Leery was the girl who knew exactly what she wanted out of life.
She was known for her oddly bubbly behavior, and caring demeanor that usually got the best of her. Her twin brother, Dawson often criticized her for being too open-minded with her kind heart, but he was always there when someone tried taking advantage of her good nature. But it wasn't her overly bubbly attitude that signaled who she was, it was the way all her life she had given school her all and picked up any extracurricular she could.
The moment she picked up a guitar at the music shop she had visited when she was ten, she knew she wanted to become a musician. She felt free whenever her fingers strummed a tune or lips parted to sing along. Music was her solitude. From that moment on her parents had signed her up for every music lesson, and bought her the instruments she desired. She grew fond of the guitar and violin. Although at one point she had loved the Flute, but she didn't like how her fingers wouldn't be strumming any chords so that didn't stick for long. She was in any music related club at school, band, acapella group, etc. She always assumed she would go to Juilliard or some other big shot school to pursue her dream. So, she did every extra credit work and assignment given to her in school.
The other kids in school didn't understand her, classifying her as a musical nerd, earning her a spot at the bottom of the food chain with her brother and friends. She didn't mind though. All she needed was her brother and friends and she was fine. After all, One day she would be a big shot and the popular kids at school would be lining up for her autograph.
Pacey Witter had always been her brother's best friend, the annoying kid who Lori was forced to hang with whenever he was over when they were younger. Until, she found a friend in him as well. It was a little weird at times to share a mutual friend with her twin brother, including Joey Potter — although everyone but Dawson can see she has been in love with him for years.
