KAYLA POV:
As Mariano is parking the car in front of Emilio school,i just scroll through my phone knowing that Emilio just wanted to come home early he has been doing it for a month sometimes i let him but not today.
"Okay let's go get him"

Mariano said breaking me from my thoughts.
As we walked into the school i see Emilio in the waiting room with his backpack "mamaaa"

"Hii my litt- "papà you came with mama" Emilio ask while talking to his dad. Sì figliolo sei felice(Yes son are you happy)"Certo che lo sono felice"( of course im happy).
Ok now i have to break the ice cause if they keep up talking Emilio will get away with this."Emilio baby look at mommy" he doesn't since he knows what he did "if you don't look at mommy no tv and toys for wee- "nooooo" he starts saying still not looking at me .

"Emilio look at your mom right now" Mariano said in a stern voice and he does look at me "i want to go home mommyyyy" he says while crying onto my lap "no baby mommy can't take you home not right" i just hold him close to my chest ,we are still in the waiting room since no one is in here.

"Kayla he is sleeping" i look down to Emilio the school bell's ring so i shook him a little bit so that could wake him up"Kayla are we gonna go with him or let him here"Mariano ask "let him he cannot spend every afternoon at home"i answer we are walking to Emilio classroom they're having a nap.

Mariano took Emilio from my hands and start waking him up "figlio wake up papà and mama are leaving "the door is opening the teacher sees him about to take Emilio from us ,but he had to scream"MAMAAA "the teacher took him but he is still trashing around and crying.

i tell Mariano to walk faster and don't look back ,he does what i tell him.we got to the car and i put on my seatbelt."are you okay you seem quite off" Mariano told me "yea everything good don't worry" i look at the time since we lost a lot of time.I told Mariano that we should go grocery shopping for my house since im running out of stock.

~AT THE STORE~

I took the stroller but min later Mariano decided to push for me as we go to the snack aisle. I trying to decide what to take between gushers and fruit roll-up deciding to take both with some granola bars,pasta,tomato sauce,meat,chicken and some chicken nuggets for Emilio.
"Are you only taking that much"

"yes why we are only two and Emilio doesn't eat much so yeah"

he look at me with a look "why are you looking at me like that" "like what" he says playing dumb "stop acting like you don't know what im talking about" i told him as we walk to the cashier and just as im talking my card out i saw the ma'am handing me the receipt and i look up to Mariano but he's acting like he didn't do anything but whatever.

"thank you but you know i could have pay" i told him
"i know"

As we drove back to Emilio school to pick him up ,arrived at his school waiting for him to get out the school,Diane is back "hello dear Kayla" "hi Diane" and just like that she left "she never just say hi"

Mariano only stays silent i look at him knowing he might have done something "what did you do" "i didn't do anything" he says "i don't know if I should trust you with this one" i said "wh-"Emilio cut him off
"Mamaa ,papaa you came back for me" "of course we did sweetheart let's go to papà parents you gonna meet your grandparents mmh what do you say" "okay but are we gonna do homework or no" "no figlio we are gonna eat and maybe play" Mariano  reassured him.

~TIME SKIP~

"I want to ring the bell mama help me" Emilio said to me "what the magic word Emilio"  i told for the i don't how much time "please"  Mariano does it for me but i just don't understand why is he being so nice all of sudden.

"Daddy faster then mama" Emilio said he sometimes use daddy or papà same thing but he prefers it like that. Julia opened the door for us and let us come in we all go in the kitchen and i see Emilio hiding in the neck of his dad.

"Emilio look this is your nonna daddy's mother"  Mariano told him.

he lift his head a little bit "hi nonna" "hi Emilio you look exactly like your father when he was younger"she answer back .

"Santino come see your grandson" she yell for her husband. "Kaylaa how are you doing" he ask me "im doing Santino thank you" "you must be Emilio I'm your nonno" "hi nonno" "do you wanna go play"he ask while taking Emilio from Mariano "Yupp...but i want stawberry and cheese please" "Miranda can you get him the snack and bring it in the living room"

"What do you want to play figlio" "umm LEGO"
He answer to his nonno and they started playing with some of Marianos old ones.

"Kayla come with me i need to talk to you" Mariano told me "yes?" "I need you and Emilio to come live in my house in Italie" he told me "uhh...no thanks" just as i was turning around he gripped my hand which me turn around and look at him with a confused look "what are you doing let go of my hand"

"No listen you can't go back to your house"
" can you stop al- is this some of your mafia problems"
"Ye-"

"Ohh my days" i break my hand away from his grips
"Just listen to me Kayla,Giovanni told me he'll find who is behind all that and like i said before come to Italie with Emilio for a while till this is solve" im literally stressing scared that something may happen to me and Emilio but i have no choice right now "okay when are we leaving" " tomorrow morning"

"
How am i supposed to pack our stuff if i can't go near my house,the groceries are still in your car"

"Don't worry about it I'll get my man to do it just calm down"
"Easy for you to say" i said while rolling my eyes "don't roll your eyes to me cara" he said and i see Emilio walking up to me
"Mommy im tired up up" i pick him up as Lays his head on my shoulder "daddy come say night night to me with mommy" "si figlio im coming with mommy"

We walked up the stairs and i put him in Mariano old bedroom. "Goodnight baby" "night mama" he told me " goodnight my sun" " goodnight papà".

I reached under the pillow remembering what i took the last time and show it to Mariano "what is that i saw it under you pillow earlier tonight?"he took it so fast "nothing you need to worry about" "okay.. goodnight im sleeping with him" i said "so am I" i looked at him "what " he just lays beside Emilio " what do you mean«what»" i can't sleep beside my son now" i just got in to bed and forget him.
