As our video chat ended my eyes went to the digital clock in my room,3:30 pm it showed.
I got home early today as it was my last day of training in my uncle's law firm. Living all alone in abroad while studying two complete different degrees wasn't easy. But I had to do it for my dreams.
I was always passionate about fashion designing and clothing just like my cousins, while law was never my cup of tea.
But still I had to do it cause my dad wanted me to. Even though he wanted both me and Sayan to take over his law firm together, but Sayan didn't want to and was strong enough to fight for his dream. So, now he has his own security company.
So, my dad told me that he wants me to be a lawyer and as always I obeyed him cause I just couldn't disappoint him.
Though I know how to stand up for myself but I don't have the gut to go against my dad. I'm afraid I might disappoint him,but he's always disappointed in me anyways.
No matter how hard I try, he never appreciated it. He's always telling me that I should do better as I'm getting everything I want. Yeah, everything expect for my dad's support.
Even when I told him I want to be a fashion designer and not a lawyer, he told me that just liking fashion designing doesn't make you a designer.
But Zaneera and Faria and our brothers were there to take a stand for me. First Zaneera and Faria tried to make him understand by talking it out calmly.When it didn't work Zayan and Sayan tired to talk to him to let me do what I want, but as always he didn't care. But then Zaneera's patience level broke and she literally argued with him, she fiercely told him that he can't just force me in everything he wants.
Witnessing her this side everyone was shocked as to them she is the MOST OBEDIENT and SAINT kid. In their eyes she still is.
Even though she is the most harami one among us all cousins, but she had kept that ''GREAT SAINT ZANEERA'' image in front of the elders. Specially in front of our dads. And to my mom and Faria's mom she's the dream daughter anyone would want.
But everyone thought her behavior was justified as they thought as a sister she wanted me to fulfill my dream.
So after a lot of trying he finally agreed but with a condition of course! He told me if I wanted to be a fashion designer I have to be a lawyer too. So I agreed without a second thought. So here I'm in London for both the degrees.
Although we had graduated a few months ago our grandfather told us to continue our further studies in the USA and not in different countries. Which felt very suspicious to us. As they didn't say anything before.
And our cunning Zaneera thinks all the elders are up to something.
As whenever chachi calls her she's always urging her to get back to USA as they've something serious to talk about which they can't do on the phone.
