EMMA SWIFT WAS ON STAGE, performing for hundreds of people every day, doing what she always wanted to do since she was little. The stage was her favorite place to be, if it wasn't at home in her and Charlie's apartment, in which they lived for two years now.
She's been on stage for years, performing in musicals or school plays. But this stage was a bigger part of her. The music and the lyrics, it was all her own, and she sang it to her fans. Not people who liked Heathers and saw her on stage as Heather McNamara. On this one, she was Emma Swift. She was herself.
As she nearly finished the lyrics of Tornado warning's, she sat down at the edge of the stage, looking up in crowd. The audience was her safe place, on this tour. Not haters would attend a concert of hers, just to hate on her. It was only fans.
Those people had paid for tickets just to her live once, and they knew every word to every song, she sang. She watched them in between, seeing happy tears, smiles or just people who cried because the lyrics were accurate to their situation.
For Emma, that was the moment in which she knew that she had come so far and got what she wanted her whole life. She wrote songs that actually meant something, not only to her but to her fans and the audience.
She smiled again, as the crowd finished the lyrics. "Wow, you guys are amazing" she spoke, hearing the loud cheering not long after. She never would have thought how much this tour would change her life, but it did in so many ways, and she would forever be grateful for this experience.
She couldn't hold her giggle as she was about to reveal a new song. "So I have this album coming out next month on october 16th, it's called Miss Possessive and I thought I'd sing one of the songs for you?" She held up her microphones, waiting for the cheers.
She got the cheers, very loudly. She stood up, walking back to her band to get the microphone stand, then speaking again. "It's track number three and it's called dear god" soon the melody started and it was time for emma to sing one of her favorite songs of the whole new album.
