chapter 2

"thank you for the food aunty!" heeseung said. he quickly went to his car and started to drive to his college. few minutes later, he reaches. the moment he comes out of his car, all eyes are on him. "omg look, its heeseung!", "i made some cookies for him today, i hope he likes it!", "stop he's so cutee" was what all the girls were talking about. but the guys had a rather different opinion on him- "ugh, he's actually so ugly, why do girls like him?", "he's only popular because of his parents", "such a dickhead". heeseung simply just ignored all of these comments.

while walking to class, he feels a hand around his shoulder "ayo heeseung what's up my guy?". it was niki, one of heeseung's best friends. heeseung felt comfortable with him. he was pretty nice and cool. niki's parents own SHIMIZU CO-OPERATIONS, also one of the most influential companies in the world. heeseung and niki became friends during middle school. they bonded when their coach put them in the same team for a match. those two together were unstoppable. 

"nothing much, what about you?" heeseung replied. "well, i think i like that jiwoo girl". "WHAT? YOU LIKE HER?" heeseung asked, shocked. he never thought that niki out of all people would like someone. niki follows this one mantra "bros before hoes", so heeseung was surprised that niki even had a crush in the first place. 

"yeah, even i was pretty surprised by the fact that i liked her. at first, i tried to deny it but now i can't go an hour without looking at that pretty face". "well, are you planning to do something?" heeseung asked. "i don't really know, this is all new to me. maybe i'll get to know her first, and then i'll propose! if you first become friends with the person you like, you'll have more chances to get her. its even better if you were friends with her before hand!". heeseung stayed quiet after niki's last sentence. he knew how 'well' things when you propose to someone who's a friend. he's already experienced it, and it hurt. alot.

"bro, you good?" niki asked, genuinely concerned. "yeah. im fine. nothing to worry about". heeseung put on a fake smile. ofcourse he wasn't ok. he was mentally face-palming himself for what he had done 4 years ago. why? why did he do that? why did he have to ruin his friendship with him? he was the only one who cared about heeseung, and he blew it.

"yo niki, we should get to class". both of them reach their classroom. they settle down in their seats. few minutes later, a girl comes up to heeseung. "yes?" heeseung asked, knowing what's gonna happen. "um, i need to talk to you about something, its kinda urgent".
