EPISODE 8 // THEFT AND BATTERY.

The remaining contestants and the two assistants huddled around his lifeless body, waiting and hoping desperately for him to wake up. The air was thick with tension, and it was an eerie quiet as the gaggle stood in utmost anticipation.

Silence, then,

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

...

With a loud buzz, and some rather chaotic imagery across his screen: flashing colours of static, MePhone4 snapped back to life. He took an audible gasp of air, seemingly shocked that he was, well, alive. The huddle made few noises of glee, though it was short lasting, as the phone's screen switched to the Meeple Update screen, indicating something had been messed up during his reboot, so everyone assumed it was just the process of him fixing himself. Everyone expect Toilet.

"Mistah Phone? Are you there?"

He exclaimed, clearly sounding rather distressed by the fact that the device had lost power again. His British accent was thick and annoying, and Knife kindly offered an eye roll and an unamused groan, clearly frustrated by the object's oblivious-ness.

After a long, not so silent moment (Toilet refused to stop fretting), MePhone sputters back to life for the second time today, and he glances around himself frantically, disorientated and frightened. He awkwardly pulled himself upwards, the way he made the motion making it look highly difficult. But then again, phones can't bend. His eyes dart from Toilet, the closest, to MePad, to Knife, to the alliance, and etcetera. His expression darkened with each contestant he saw, rising to his feet with trembling hands. Pausing for a moment, he stands still, before darting off, his movements frenetic and fearful.

"What the -"

Nickel sputters, sounding unusually confused and lacking a sarcastic remark. His bemusement was equally shared amongst both the contestants and the assistants, a look of unease and worry being spread.

It doesn't take long for Toilet to run after him, crying out in a tone that makes him sound incredibly devastated by the host's escapade,

"MISTAH PHONE! COME BACK! I LOVE YOU!"

MePad efficiently teleports himself in front of Toilet, stopping the distressed object in his tracks. Toilet tries to get past him, though it's to no avail, and the piece of tech lets out an exasperated but awkward sigh at his persistence.

"Give him a moment, Toilet. He has made it clear he wants to be alone,"

MePad hums, his tone lacking much emotion and being unintentionally blunt, which wasn't at all a balm to Toilet's nerves, but eventually, he gives in and walks back towards the cacophony of bewilderment coming from the group of contestants, both bearing a heavy heart.
