Continued from 1st chapter)
AUTHOR'S POV:-
Nandu made her way towards bedroom upstairs. It's already 7.00pm in evening so she changed her cloth and freshened. When she came outside from bedroom, Vandana(Nandini's mother) is sitting on bed with tea and snacks. Nandini sat beside Vandana and started chugging her tea with snacks. She finished her tea and snacks.
Vandana took empty cup from nandini's hand kept beside table and asked.
" Tell me where you went Nandu? I know about you. You are the same lazy girl whom I'm telling to go Lakshmi Devi temple from month and you didn't cared about that and suddenly you visited temple today that too alone. Tell me the truth Nandu."
Nandini is literally shivering from inside because she can't tell the truth to her mother so after thinking minute she got favorable reply so she said.
" Amma(mother) actually I went to meet Gayatri. You know she is not feeling well and as friend it's my duty to ask her wellbeing na."
Vandana with disappointment said
" You know right how much your brother hate that your friend Gayatri and still you went to meet her. This not right nandu."
Nandini hugged her mother and said
" I know amma that brother feels that Gayatri is bad influence to me but I swear she never teach anything wrong to me. Today I went to meet her because she is ill orelse I will never go to meet her."
Vandana replied with sigh
" Okay this time I saved you but don't expect same from next time okay."
Nandu noded her head like good girl. She has some doubts so she made her mother to sit on bed comfortably and layed on her lap.
" Amma I know brother hate Gayatri because she is in relationship with Aman. Also she roams with him in whole village but tell me one thing that ,girl choosing boy as her own is sin?".
Vandana chuckled at her daughter words and said " No Nandu".
Again Nandu asked
" Then why brother hates relationship and love marriage."
Vandana said
" Some incident happened when he is small. From then he made his assumption towards love marriages. Even your Praveen brother hate love marriages."
Nandini said with curiosity
" Please tell na..."
Vandana replied
" Okay then listen...you know your father had friend named Kailash. Kailash is father of 2 children's. Elder one is Keerti and younger one is Ramesh. Keerti is 5years elder than Ramesh and Ramesh is same age as your brother Prakash. Even your both brother consider Keerti as there own sister and she use to tie rakhi to your both brothers before you were born.
When Keerti was 19 years, she is in love with there maid son Sham. Whole village started talking ill about Keerti and even your father also said to his friend that he should marry Keerti in rich family. But Kailash loves his daughter so much so he agreed for there marriage. Keerti's mother also not happy with that relation because Sham's father is labor in Kailash's farm and also from lower caste but she can't go against her husband so without any word she agreed. Marriage is done.
Keerti is very happy in initial days , they took good care for her but after month, they started torturing her. They beated her brutally and told her to bring money from her parents house. Keerti didn't complained about this to anyone because already whole village is insulting Kailash for his daughter inter-cast marriage with maid's son so she endured every torture from them. Even sham had affair too. But one day they threw boiling water on her hands. Her whole hand has burnt Mark's. Then the time came where she felt that now she can't endure the torture from them so she drank poison and gave up on her life.
Kailash started blaming himself for agreeing for this marriage. Keerti's mother went in depression. Your father was way to angry. He went to police and complaint about there deeds, Sham and her parents were arrested. Your both brothers were saw Keerti's lifeless body with bruises. They were just 14 and 7 and that incident made huge impact on them. From that day your brother started hating love marriage that too inter-cast".
Nandini is shocked to heed this new information. She met so many times with Kailash's family and she thought Ramesh is only son of Kailash but she never knew about Keerti. She felt bad for Keerti.
She got up from her mother lap and asked
" Amma if Keerti's love ends with tragic it doesn't matter everyone's will end in same way. And every man is not like Sham right?".
Vandana asked
" If you want to check that rice cooked better or not then what will you do?".
Nandu immediately replied
" Amma I will take out one grain and check it whether it is cooked or not."
Vandana asked
" why you only check single grain? Why not whole cooker?".
Nandu is confused now she looked at her mother.
Vandana smiled on her daughter and said
" Because you know that checking only single grain is enough to reach on conclusion. This is what society beta. This love marriage is very unfamiliar to indian parents they know it's not wrong but still they don't agree for this".
Vandana caressed her daughter head and said.
" See Nandu before marriage I also feel that why parents don't agree for love marriages but when I became mother of one, I realized why they don't agree.
I know I may sound like stupid but you know mother keep child 9months in her womb and take care with love and Nourishment. Mother endure too much pain to give birth to child and after that parents keep there children safely.
Parents became shield to there children's and every problem have to face parents first then children's. This is the reason parents become selfish when it comes to choosing life partner for their children's and specially daughters. Because we don't want any random guy come and ruin beautiful life of our princess."
Saying this she kissed her on forhead.
Nandini is feeling way too guilty because she is lieng to her parents.
Vandana got up from bed and said.
" Nandu get up and come down. Geeta is making your favorite food for dinner so it's your duty to help Devi(Shalini) and Shekhar in their homework."
Nandu replied with salute
" Yes captain".
Vandana smiled and went down with Nandu.

It's something new that I started writing which is totally different from other stories on wattpad and I'm giving update weekly once because I wanted to write this story taking time. Don't know why but this story is started becoming close to my heart.
