Rita gazed at the ball closely and she turned it into her hands. Suddenly, the colorful dots began to shine. Startled, Ritas hands twitched back and she almost drop the thing, but this risk never existed, because the ball floated. At the same time the color dots formed about ten centimeters long light bars, so that the object now looked like a miniature mine with overlong percussion fuses. Finally, it even began to slowly rotate.
Piet's enthusiasm accelerated at the sight from 0 to 100, he even missed matching music just about two seconds. Mike stammered something about a bomb and that Rita would've armed it. He slid out of his chair and tried to reach the door on all fours. Because something conjured a smile on Rita's face, her forehead wrinkles smoothed out. Then she reached out pretty fast and purposeful and stopped the ball. All but a pink glow stick had disappeared.
That's why Piet asked the crucial question:
"Damn it, Rita, do you always ruin everything?"
