Lynex's P.O.V
Elder Charales Ivey has always been a pious, holy man. The first to shun and leave behind those who have sinned, according to the cult's holy book. However, when it comes to his sins and those of other high council members, they are more than willing to look the other way. It is this mentality that has put his children in grave danger. He killed one of The Creep's favorite children of the heart. Angered by this, The Creep has demanded a child in return. Those who know of The Creep and the monsters who lurk in the factory know never to anger him. Desperate to save his son, Charales stood at the guild's doors.
Opening the door, I scoff and shut it. Charales shoves his foot in the doorway, stopping it from being slammed in his face. "Please, I beg of you as a man of God for your help. I refuse to let my son be killed. I wouldn't have come here if I had any other choice." His words are brushed aside. I study him, trying to find any reason we should consider helping him; I sigh, knowing that I am not the decider in these situations. Stepping back, I allow him inside and lead him to the conference room. Hearing our footsteps, Louise and Stanley quickly end their conversation and stand at the head of the table.
The two leaders towered over all who entered the room, filling it with an intimidating energy upon entering."You have some real fucking nerve showing up here, Charales. After what you and your group did? Sacrificing an innocent child, you come here to demand our help?!" Stanley, angered by the cultist presence, booms. "I did what was needed to appease the one and only God. The child was born to drag the communion to hell. I had to stop it. I am not here to discuss what God calls me to do. I need your help to save my son. You kill demons; there is one you have missed, and he now demands my son's blood." Charales' words are laced with venom as they are spit across the room. "A demon in this city doesn't demand blood for no reason. What did you do?" I ask, knowing he is trying to hide his wrongdoing. "I killed one of his children of the heart. It was more or less an accident." He begrudgingly admits.
I share a look with Dad before we laugh in his face. "So he wants an eye for an eye. I don't see what you expect us to do. You pissed him off and now have to pay the price." Stanley states plainly. He had already made up his mind. "It seems your sins have caught up to you. Karma is a bitch isn't she?" Louise states, a smirk spreading across her and Stanley's faces as their refusal hangs in the air. Charales raises his voice in anger and contempt. "You can't refuse me! If you don't save my son, I will expose you! You will know the pain of losing everything!" I was ready to charge after hearing his words and seeing his stance change. As soon as he makes a move, I sweep his feet from under him, knocking him to the ground and pinning him. "Now, that was a rather stupid move." My words sliced through him, furthering his anger. Louise rounds the table, coming over to Charales and me.
"Release him, Lynex." A short command: I want to fight but have no place as I let him up. Getting up to his feet, Charales has no time to wipe the blood from his face before his shirt collar snatches him brought face to face with Louise. Her eyes were blazing with anger and a fire of protection. "If you ever set foot near these grounds again, I will have no issue ensuring it is the last place you ever set foot. Am I understood?" Fear and rage flash across Charales' face as he steps back. "Mark my words. You will get what is coming to you. By the week's end, you will lose everything!" With the last word leaving his lips, he turns and takes his leave. I walk him out, making sure he leaves. "You will know the worst pain there is. You will regret angering me." He continues to run his mouth, swearing revenge. "Just leave and don't come back." My eyes narrow as I watch him drive off. Going back inside, I shake off the disturbing feeling I get.
Well then, things are getting tense. Chapter 4 is on the way, and chapter 5 and 6 will be up soon after. AS A REMINDER!! I do not have any claim to any part of Fear Factory SLC, the only part of this story I own are the characters of my own making.
