Journeys Reborn[CHAPTER 1]

Phoenix says, "Moltress, Stand by for battle."

Ash looked shocked at the Kantonian Legendary in front of him, "Moltress...but how?"

Phoenix looks at Ash, "What's wrong, are you afraid to battle now? Where is that confidence you showed against Bea."

Ash takes a deep breath and looks at Phoenix with fire in his eyes, "Lucario, Let's show them what we got!"

"Lucario!" Lucario growls as Ash brings forth his Mega Glove and touches the Keystone attached to it. "The Bond between us... Mega Evolve!". A dazzling light spread out from the Keystone, as the Megastone appeared in front of Lucario who roared with power. The Keystone started to release white tendrils as they headed towards another set of tendrils coming out of Megastone. The tendrils interconnected and glowed brighter than before, Lucario got encased in a bright light as he howled with power, After a brief moment the light dimmed out, a Huge Mega Evolution Symbol appeared above Lucario, as he stood proud and strongly in front of the Legendary Bird, Moltress.

Phoenix claps, "Impressive, you've had this Lucario since he was an egg, correct?"

Goh says, "Yeah that's right, but how do you know?"

Phoenix ignores Goh's question as he continues, "Despite only bonding with your Lucario for less than a year. You have gained quite the mastery over the art of Mega Evolution." Ash got surprised by the sudden praise but showed a smile.

Moltress above gave a small screech of acknowledgement of Lucario's power. Phoenix says in a heavy voice, "However, Let's see if you can keep up. Moltress, Use Sky Attack!"

Moltress spread it's wings as it glows in a bright blue aura. Ash seeing this reaches out to Lucario, "Quick use Aura Sphere!"

Mega Lucario begins to charge up a Aura Sphere, a huge concentrated amount of aura starts to accumulate and shape itself into a Sphere. He leaps up in the air and throws the Aura Sphere. The Aura Sphere hits Moltress and an explosion in the air happens, Mega Lucario lands softly as he gazes at the dust cloud but Moltress flew out of it and charged straight towards Lucario with its body glowing with blue aura.

"Lucario use Double Team, Dodge it!" Ash exclaimed but, "I won't allow it, Moltress!"

Mega Lucario created multiple copies of itself but Moltress eyes glowed red, Suddenly flames lit up on the grass and formed a fiery circle around the Lucario copies.

Goh exclaims in surprise, "What's that? How come Moltress used fire spin while performing Sky attack?"

Moltress closes up the distance, Lucario tries to evade but the fiery circle quickly rises up in intensity and blocks his path.

Ash shouts in worry, "Lucario!" Moltress hits Lucario with Sky Attack creating a huge explosion, In an instant Moltress flies out of the smoke as Ash and Goh watch worriedly. The smoke cleared up and Mega Lucario was still standing but heavily bruised.

Phoenix comments, seemingly impressed, "So you toughed it out huh. That blow would've knocked out any fighting type pokémon."

Ash looks worried, "Lucario are you alright?" "Lucario..." Lucario returns with a low growl as he sighs in relief. Ash looks at Phoenix and asks himself, "Lucario barely managed to withstand that blow but...how come he can use two moves at the same time?"

Phoenix as if reading his mind says, "Are you wondering about how Moltress used Fire Spin?" Ash eyes widen a bit but he nods, "It's really simple, Moltress is a bird which controls fire itself. Its fire is a never ending flame which will continue to burn till eternity. She didn't use a move but a power she has inherently."
