This was it, the day Gumball, was to be discharged from the psych ward facility and could finally go home or as close to home as he could get.. Which, As you will soon find out is not a happy occasion, for him, nor his new friend
Entry: 396 Date, October 7th 2019
Dear diary, "today is the day I am going to be discharged from this facility and can go home.. Elias has been talking about it all morning, I'm going to miss him, but I am not going to miss this.. How do I put it.. Hell hole.. But the silver lining is, I heard from Darwin that Elias is being discharged today too. So I'm going to try to get his phone number so we can keep in touch".
"watterson"?
Gumball slips his diary into his bag
"Yes?" Gumball asks, itching to hear what needs to be said
"are you ready to go"? Says the mysterious voice which happens to be a nurse.
The Blue feline shakes his head.
"what about elias"? The feline asks, worried for his friend.
"don't worry too much, Gumball you still have an hour yet". the nurse states quite quickly,. "You have plenty of time to say your goodbyes".
The blue feline sighs, as the realisation hits him, the reality that he may have to say goodbye to his best friend. Forever.
As gumball sits on his hospital bed for the last time, Elias walks into the room. Just after eating breakfast, and with what appears to be chocolate spread smeared all over his face.
The blue feline can't help but burst into laughter at the sight of his friend covered in the sweet brown stuff we all love.
"Oh, hey Gumhall". The young, plump bear says in a rather cold tone. "A-are you all packed up and ready to go?" the young bear asks, a look of deep sadness adorning his face.
All the blue feline can do is sigh and nod, as he looks at his friend, the feline then opens his arms wide and nods at the young bear. Who, by now, has tears in his eyes, threatening to fall at any moment.
"gumball" the young bear could only manage to say before the tears in his eyes finally came crashing down to the floor beneath his feet, the feline only took this as an invitation to move forward and hug his friend.
"I'm going to miss you buddy, thanks for making my time in here somewhat bearable".
All that could be heard from the young bear were sobs,the fact that he'd have to say goodbye to his friend was and continued hitting him like a truck.
"but don't worry, I've been told by my brother, you know that goldfish? That you may be discharged around the same time as me".
Almost instantly this changed the demeanour of the young bear to one of pure unbridled joy
"really?" Elias asked, still unsure if his friend was telling the truth.
"yes really, the blue feline stated.
"Also We are moving towns too So, maybe just maybe, I may move to the town you live in".
The young bear couldn't help but squeal in excitement and relief.
"Gumball this is amazing" the bear practically screamed.
"it sure is my friend, it sure is". the feline stated.
30 minutes pass as gumball gathers his belongings and personal items such as his phone...
"watterson, are you ready? " a nurse asks from the doorway.
"yes I'm ready to go"
The blue feline states, a rather sad undertone in his voice, "but I don't think elias wants me to go".
The young bear nods solumnly.
Just as he is about to walk out of the room, Gumball turns to elias and hugs him again. Then he turns and walks out of the room and down the hallway to an elevator.
A nurse presses the call button for the elevator.
"Lift call has been accepted, the lift will arrive shortly". the elevators speaker
blerts out.
Moments later the elevator arrives and the nurse and Gumball both step into the elevator, and as the door is closing it is stopped by a white, and furry paw.
The elevator door rolls back to Reveal none other than Elias.
To no-ones surprise Elias, followed by a nurse entered the elevator as the young bear spoke.
"Gumball I have epic news, I'm being discharged too". The young bear stated, in a rather jovial manner.
The blue feline couldn't help but smile at his friend, then the elevator door closed. "finally, I am going home" Gumball thought to himself as he smiled.
