Ainsley was a normal Scottish girl who lived in new York Ainsley was a huge book lover she always liked to read especially dark romance books she was the type of girls who would fall head over heels over fictional men especially this one fictional man she read about called Damon Vandenberg Ainsley was a single college girl who's about 19 years old who lives with her 3 roommates Amy Lia and, Luna, Luna and Lia were twins while Amy was Lia's partner while Luna had her boyfriend Liam Ainsley is a very closed introverted girl who would rather be at home than out partying or hanging out with friends which was different than most girls her age one day Luna and Liam decide to invite Ainsley to their night out and after a lot of asking Ainsley agrees to go out with them especially since Lia and Amy were also going out with them and they decide to go shopping for fancy dresses since they were going to a fancy restaurant Ainsley picks a beautiful emerald green dress that complimented her ginger hair and made her light almost pale skin and freckles pop making her  green eyes look really gorgeous and styled it in a way that made every man fall head over heels for her if only they knew her past and that she never trusts real men which is why she stayed single while they are out the bartender spikes Ainsley's drink Lia and Amy being the first ones to notice decide to cut the night short and on the way back home Ainsley passes out
