"The news has been insane lately. My parents won't shut up about it."
Brenda ignored yet again another text from her mother about a sickness founded from an Antarctica expedition. What bullshit yknow?
Probably just a bad fever, people exaggerate everything nowadays.
"Hmm yeah that sounds about right. Your parents ARE doctors after all." He reminded her, earning a hit from a pillow.
Saturday mornings were the best because this was either the start of an eventual or a relaxing night in. No in between. Especially for these two, people practically threw party invited at them left and right, even the lame ones.
Now that they BOTH were single again, people were especially hoping to get with one or both of them. Brenda being single especially means she'll show if Jayden goes. They're both peas in a pod.
"Okay well you're only saying it's fine because they still adore you like a son. Doesn't make them any less annoying to me." She shifted her laying position on her bed, deciding to turn on a movie to drown out his dumb remarks and her parents overwhelmingly annoying texts.
"You're so mean sometimes, I think I love it."
"You say this like ten times a week, shut the fuck up."
"Awh." Jayden sighed, fake sighing and slumping into her bed further.
The room was just as girly, pink, white, and preppy as it could've gotten. Brenda wore a VERY soft matching set of pink silk pajamas, with a fluffy white robe to keep on theme. Jayden also wore similar clothes, just the shorts and the robe however.
After dropping off Steven and hanging out with Geo, then sending him home, he had a victory sleepover with his best friend. Which lasted throughout the rest of that week. And yes she made him drive his own way to school, Steven was a no go.
"If there's a party tonight, are we showing? I heard Henderson from baseball might throw something 'small' but you know that's never the case." Jayden said scrolling on his phone. He looked uninterested in the event, but a night out is a night out no? It takes a party person to make a party, and that's his theme.
Brenda sighed, "The name doesn't ring I bell I fear. But if enough known people go then I might consider. Feel free to go without me though. I bet Steven will show if he catches wind I'm out partying days after our breakup." She groaned as she declined a call within milliseconds of it ringing.
"Non. Stop. Calls!!!" She let out another annoyed sigh.
She moved and laid next to Jayden, "He's literally obsessed with me and yet he hasn't even seen me naked!! God that's the LAST charity boyfriend I do. It's like all men are just so unbearable!! And you're not much of an exception so don't try it." She said showing the countless calls from
Steven."Block him." "No, you know I love attention. Plus it's better if he keeps thinking one day I'll pick up. Makes it seem like I'm reconsidering right?" Brenda smiled deviously.
Steven was an honor student, but he was dumb as bricks everywhere else.
"Oooo malicious. Actually I'd love to answer that call one day. I'm sure he'll lose his shit, didn't he try to tell you drop me minutes after you said yes to date him?" He said trying to recall the conversation they had the previous week. "Yeah, he did, and I told him to tighten up cause it wasn't happening." She shrugged nonchalantly.
She really didn't even like him really. She only said yes for the fun of it, but as it turns out, it wasn't very fun.
"Sad man. Anyways if you're hungry we can do a brunch real fast. And if there IS a function tonight, I'll grab us food so we don't accidentally eat unrequested edibles again." The topic switch of plans made all the annoyance go away.
