"Ow, ow."

My roommate didn’t think much of it.

After lazily chatting with someone for a bit, Qi Yan closed his eyes and dozed off.

I hesitated in my attempt to send Y a probing message.

Wait, this isn’t right.

Shouldn't I just directly compare their WeChat IDs?

I quickly lowered my voice and spoke to my roommate.

“Do you have Qi Yan’s WeChat?”

“Huh?”

“I... I’m afraid Qi Yan misunderstood what happened earlier, so I want to explain and apologize, but since there are so many people on the bus, I’ll do it over WeChat.”

“I don’t have it, but it’s in the group chat of our club. I can screenshot it for you.”

My roommate quickly sent me a screenshot of Qi Yan’s WeChat profile.

As I stared at the incredibly familiar avatar on his profile, my heart began to race.

Slowly, I copied his WeChat ID into the ‘Add Contact’ section.

A second later, the screen displayed: *Contact already added.*

Y.

When the bus reached the campsite, my roommate was cleaning up the trash at our seats, while I stood up to check the luggage above.

Maybe being 177 cm tall just wasn’t quite enough, and my roommate’s suitcase was a bit heavy.

I struggled, and my glasses nearly slipped off.

At that moment, someone moved in close behind me, a cool, crisp scent brushing past my neck to my nose.

Keeping a polite distance, he effortlessly helped me lift the luggage down with one hand.

I adjusted my glasses, pursed my lips, and glanced at Qi Yan.

“Thanks…”

After saying that, I didn’t bother to see his reaction and hurriedly helped my roommate carry the luggage off the bus.

I wasn’t trying to act petty.

But anyone in my position would be embarrassed enough to dig a hole and crawl into it.

Especially considering that Qi Yan had just recently gotten together with his "white moonlight" (an unattainable love).

Yet here he was, tangled up in an online relationship with me, a gay relationship.

So I had to find a way to break off this online relationship with him.

I sighed, dragging the suitcase down the path, feeling like an invisible gaze was following me.

After setting up our tents, the hiking club members started climbing the mountain.

Since I didn’t have much stamina, I stayed behind with a few other students to watch over the camp.

I looked at the several messages Y had sent me but had no idea how to reply, feeling emotional all by myself.

As dusk fell and everyone returned to the campsite for a BBQ, I offered to take out the trash, since I wasn’t good at grilling.

As I walked to the edge of the campsite, I spotted a familiar figure.

Qi Yan.

He was taking the hike seriously, his dark hair slightly damp with sweat, hanging low over his face.
