Two girls, Piya and Maya, were best friends living in the same apartment complex, spending their days playing together. One sunny Sunday morning, while in the garden, Piya accidentally scratched Maya, causing her to cry in pain. Upset, Maya ran to her mother, who, furious, forbade Piya from playing with her ever again. Despite this, Maya remained loyal to their friendship, knowing Piya hadn't meant to hurt her. For two years, she stayed silent, holding onto hope.
Life took a turn when Piya's father got a job in Hong Kong, and the family had to move. Maya was happy for Piya but devastated to see her go. On departure day, they shared a heartfelt embrace, promising to stay in touch.
For months, they called each other regularly. However, when Piya returned to India to visit, she noticed Maya had changed. Maya seemed distant and was spending less time with Piya, often declining invitations to work out together. Instead, she was now hanging out with Anu, who soon began to treat Piya rudely.
One day, while Maya was with Anu, Piya tried to join their conversation, but Anu quickly dismissed her, saying they didn't need her. Hurt by Anu's words, Piya turned to Maya for support, but Maya just laughed and left with Anu, indifferent to Piya's feelings.
Heartbroken, Piya locked herself in her room, feeling betrayed by the friend she considered a sister. When she confronted Maya, expressing her disappointment and calling her a "snake" for choosing Anu over her, Maya merely laughed and walked away, confirming Piya's fears. This incident shattered their bond, leaving Piya feeling abandoned and alone. From that moment on, she stopped speaking to Maya, her once-unbreakable friendship now in pieces.
