Ethan winced as he shifted in the hospital bed, the pain in his arm a constant reminder of the chaos that had unfolded. The sterile smell of antiseptic filled the room, but it did little to mask the tension that had settled between him and Scarlett. Every time the door creaked open, he tensed, bracing himself for another confrontation. She had once been a reliable partner, but now, in his mind, she was a liability. The realization gnawed at him. He wasn’t sure what was worse—the physical pain or the gnawing sense of betrayal.

Ethan’s hospital room was a cold cocoon of white and sterile light, the beeping of the heart monitor a constant reminder of his vulnerability. The aftermath of the attack had left him bruised and confused, but the physical pain was nothing compared to the turmoil in his mind. The attack felt personal, and Ethan was consumed by the idea that someone ight have been targeting him specifically.

Scarlet’s  was a mix of anxiety and frustration. The fight had been heated; Ethan had accused her of being part of the plot against him, and now their relationship was fractured. She couldn’t understand why he would think she was involved.

“Ethan, this doesn’t make any sense,” Scarlet began, her voice strained as she entered the room. “I don’t know who did this to you, but it wasn’t me. Why would you think that?”

Ethan’s eyes were cold, filled with a blend of anger and fear. “Look, it’s simple. Someone wanted to hurt me, and you’re the closest person to me. It’s not just about you being here; it’s about your presence putting you at risk too. I need to keep you away to keep you safe.”

Scarlet’s heart ached as she heard his accusations. “Do you really believe I’d do something like this? After everything we’ve been through? I’m not your enemy, Ethan.”

Ethan turned his face away, the guilt evident in his eyes despite his harsh words. “I don’t know what to believe right now. I just need to make sure you’re not involved, for both our sakes.”

The argument left Scarlet reeling. She felt a mix of betrayal and helplessness as she walked out of the hospital room, her mind racing with thoughts of how to clear her name and find out who was behind the attack.

Back in his hospital room, Ethan’s phone buzzed as he dialed his team’s number. Within the hour, his trusted colleagues— his beloved team mates James and Victor and his best friend Kyra—arrived, their expressions serious. They quickly set up a small operation in the room, their efficiency a stark contrast to Ethan’s disorganized state of mind.

James, the team’s tech specialist, set up a laptop and began analyzing the data from the attack. “We’ve got some preliminary information,” he said, typing rapidly. “It wasn’t a conventional attack. The assault was carried out by a drone. We’ve tracked the drone’s signal and found its control point.”

Kyra, the field operative, reviewed the footage of the drone’s approach. “ Bro no need to worry i am here to protect you. Lets get to the point, the drone was equipped with a high-explosive device. This was a calculated move, not just an act of violence. It was designed to target you specifically.”

Victor, the strategist, examined the data and noted connections. “If the attack was drone-based, it suggests a well-coordinated operation with technological resources. This wasn’t just about you—it’s part of a larger plan. We need to identify who had the capability and motive to use such advanced technology.”

Ethan, though in pain, felt a spark of hope. “So, We need to focus on the real threat. The drone was a sophisticated tool, and whoever used it has a bigger agenda. We’ve got to be meticulous. Whoever did this is likely planning more.”

The team nodded in agreement, their focus shifting to the task at hand. The atmosphere was tense but determined, each member working seamlessly to unravel the mystery.

Kyra spoke with an annoyed tone. "Well i ask you all to leave. So me and Ethan could talk in private"

Everyone just nodded their head and left the hospital room.

Ethan was curious about what kyra wanted to talk. He interpreted kyra as she was about to speak. "I know. You will ask if I still have contact with scar and yes i do and we are getting married next month"

Kyra was shocked by what Ethan just told to her. "GET MARRIED!? And you didn't even think twice to tell me about it and did you even tell scar that I'm alive?

"I am sorry kyra i didn't get time she sill blame herself for what happened"

Kyra sat on the hospital bed while she bites the apple
"Leave that aside, now tell me why are you blaming her for the attack in which you and I know she is completely innocent"

Ethan looked anxiously at her. "Well i think this all is happening because of me....and i just don't want scar to get hurt because of me."

Kyra smiled proudly. "You still love her the same. Don't you?"

Ethan smiled widely while he nods his head. "Well i can't deny the fact that i keep falling for her even more as the days goes by."

Meanwhile, on the other hand Scarlet had gathered with her team in a discreet location—a nondescript warehouse that served as their temporary base. Her team members—Alex and Raj and her best friend Rebecca—were already deep into the investigation when she arrived, their faces a mixture of concern and determination.

Alex, the lead analyst, spread out the documents and surveillance footage on a large table. “We’ve been digging into possible suspects and motives. It appears the attack was executed by a drone. We’ve been tracking the usual drone operators and suppliers, but there’s no direct link to anyone, Scarlet.”

Rebecca, the tactical expert, reviewed the security footage from nearby cameras. “We’ve got some leads on the drone’s flight path and control signals. The attackers used high-end technology, indicating they’re highly organized.”

Raj, the operations manager, was busy coordinating with external contacts for additional intelligence. “I’ve reached out to some informants. We might get more information soon. But for now, we need to stay on high alert and be prepared for any follow-up.”

Scarlet’s heart raced as she listened, the stress of the day weighing heavily on her. “I need to clear my name and get to the bottom of this. If Ethan is safe, then we need to focus on finding out who’s really behind this attack.”

Rebecca look at the face of scarlett "come with me scar"

"Where to?"

"Bitch just follow me"

"Woo wooo calm down"

Rebecca took her to a quite place where no one was there. "Scar, why does he blame you and does he know that I am alive"

"I didn't tell him about it....and i have no idea why he blames me"

"Darlin its fine don't worry maybe he is scared that u might get hurt being with you"

Scarlet was anxious, "idk maybe"

Meanwhile, Her team agreed, their resolve strengthening. They split up to follow leads and gather information, each member understanding the gravity of the situation and the necessity to act quickly.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, Ethan’s team made a breakthrough. They discovered that the attack was orchestrated by an unknown party using a drone, with no connection to Scarlet. The realization hit Ethan like a freight train, and he was left to grapple with his mistake. His mistrust had nearly cost him the one person who had been there for him.

When Scarlet returned to the hospital, her face a mask of exhaustion and worry. She approached Ethan’s room with a mix of trepidation and hope. Ethan looked up, guilt and relief warring in his expression. “Scarlet, I was wrong. I let my fears control me, and I accused you without cause. The attack wasn’t your doing.”

Scarlet’s eyes softened, though the hurt was still evident. “Ethan, trust is everything. I hope we can fix this. We need to work together, for both of us and to find out who’s really behind this.”

The air between them was thick with unspoken emotions and the effort to rebuild what had been broken. Both were eager to move past the conflict and focus on the larger threat looming over them. As they began to address the situation with renewed resolve, the path to reconciliation seemed daunting but achievable.
