It was a quiet, what seemed normal day at the nursery or so everyone thought. It wasn't a normal quiet. It was sinister silence, creepy almost. "Here you go" Charlotte handed a child to their parents. There was only one kid left now. Then she could go home. Mia was coming tomorrow night and Charlotte couldn't be any more excited than she was.
She left the nursery at a reasonable hour. It was a cold winters night and it was already dark. She looked around sighing. How she loved summer. Before she could get too carried away in her thoughts she began the walk to her car. That day she had a late shift so she had to park furthest from the door.
She heard a distant noise. Someone else was here. But who? She swallowed. "Hello?" She called out into the darkness. No reply. She thought she'd been hearing things but then a hand closed around her mouth, the same hand let go of her for a minute forcing something down her throat. Charlotte felt her chest tightening. The world was blurring. The person who had shoved something down her throat had disappeared without a trace.
Authors note: It's going to be short at the start but the chapters will get longer as the story progresses
