"Right, I'm going to bring the notebook, so we can tell the family what's going on so far, anything you need before we go?" Hermione asked as they entered the living room. George shook his head and they entered the fireplace, disappearing from their flat.

The Weasley family was lounging in the living room, minus Arthur (in his shop) and Molly (cooking dinner). Harry and Ron were playing wizards chess, and Ginny was reading a magazine on the chair. Fred was assumed to be in his room. Ginny jumped to her feet the moment they entered the room.

"Hey you two! Took you long enough" She smiled and helped dust the soot off of Hermione. She pulled at the white shirt.

"This looks nice on you! I'm glad you went with this one" She wiggled her eyebrows at Hermione, who shyly smiled.

"You have decent taste in clothing I suppose" George snorted from beside her, earning a smack from Ginny. Harry and Ron had continued their game, but Harry spoke up once they had further entered the room.

"'Mione, you're looking well! I'm glad you guys came tonight" He smiled and Ron grumbled beside him. Hermione faltered and then smiled back at Harry.

"We actually had our first appointment today, and learnt a lot, we were planning to tell everyone at dinner though" She laughed and Harry stood up, abandoning the game.

"Oi mate!" Ron yelled, annoyed to be finished playing. He stood, hands in his pockets, facing Hermione finally.

"Hey 'Mione" He said, face straight. She smiled at him, stepping forward.

"Hey Ron, how are you doing?" She said, hesitant. He nodded and then sat on the couch. It was a step forward, so Hermione felt okay so far. George tugged her arm and then addressed the room.

"We're going to see if Fred's awake" Ginny hummed in response and the two of them made their way upstairs. Hermione squeezed George's hand and he smiled down at her. They slipped into George's old room and saw Fred standing by the window, the coin in his hand. Hermione smiled at him.

"You seem to be doing much better, Fred" She said, and he nodded. He turned towards them, a smile on his face.

"Right as rain, I'm ready to get back to work I think too, I have another appointment with St Mungos, just clearing me and then I'm free! Thinking about moving back to the flat" He wiggled his eyebrows at Hermione and she felt her face heat up. Living with one of the twins had been alright, what would living with two of them mean? She looked at George and noted the relieved smile on his face. He seemed to be happy with the thought of living with Fred again.

"How does Mum feel about that eh?" He smirked at Fred, who laughed back.

"Not pleased, but I am a grown man, and it's not like I'd be alone" He winked at Hermione, and George gripped her hand. Fred was doing a lot of flirting and Hermione felt like her face was going to catch on fire from how hot it felt.

"I see you're back to normal, brother" George huffed out, his voice tight. They shared a look, and Hermione once again was jealous of the Weasley's telepathic abilities. A moment passed and Hermione tugged George's hand.

"Should we head down and tell everyone about what we found out today?" Hermione asked and both brothers nodded, following Hermione downstairs. The table was set and Ginny was helping Molly bring food over. The rest of the family was gathering around and taking their seats. Once again Hermione ended up sitting between George and Ron, with Fred across the table. As everyone got seated Molly spoke up.

"Fred dear, I am so glad you're feeling well enough to have dinner with us" She smiled at her son and the rest of the family nodded in agreement. Fred passed a bowl of mashed potatoes past him, and then picked up his fork.

"I know you all missed seeing this gorgeous face" He smirked and Ginny made a gagging noise, receiving a bread roll to the head in response.

"No throwing food!" Molly boomed and Fred hid behind his Father, who chuckled. The dinner went on well, quiet conversation breaking out around the table. Hermione was chatting with Harry who was beside Ron, and George was chatting with Fred across the table. Hermione could feel Ron's breath on her face as she leaned forward to talk to Harry. Her gut twisted uncomfortably. George seemed to sense her discomfort, and tugged at her hand. He added more potatoes to her plate, getting the attention of everyone around the table.

"Oi Georgiepoo, are you going to get me food too?" Ginny batted her eyelashes at him across the table and he rolled his eyes. The table was silent again before Harry spoke up, drawing the attention to him.

"So uh, Hermione, you wanted to tell us something?" He said, trying to smile at her. She gave him a relieved look and nodded.

"Yes! Thanks Harry. Right well, as you all know we had our appointment today. They mostly ran tests for hours, to monitor the status of our magic. Then we told her what we had figured out on our own" Hermione explained, taking out her notebook. Together George and her explained the events of the appointment, right until their new discovery.

"From what we can tell, our magic is connected in a way that we can separate briefly, and that's how we've been able to change clothes. We managed to get about a foot apart for a few minutes, before feeling faint" Hermione explained and everyone seemed surprised. Ron was the first one to speak.

"So there's a chance you two will be able to be separated" He asked, his face tight. They nodded and he ran a hand through his hair.

"So you've seen her naked then. My own brother. Hermione I think you need to explain how that all works before I do something we all regret" He hissed, standing up. George pulled Hermione up and stood angled between them, catching Ron off guard. Ginny shot Hermione a questioning look, which she returned with a panicked glance, too distracted by the two brothers in front of her.

"Ron, let's talk outside okay? Let's not do this in front of everyone" She pleaded and he nodded after a moment, pushing past everyone as he headed out the screen door. Hermione shot an apologetic smile to the table before pulling George out the door with her. They found Ron about ten feet from the house, his arms crossed.

"Well let's get this over with" He hissed and Hermione grimaced.

"Listen Ron, you need to calm down mate. Hermione and I literally were in a magical coma for two months. You need to cut us some slack here" George cut in, and Ron's face quickly turned bright red.

"Relax? You're bloody sleeping with my girlfriend, who hasn't spoken to me in weeks by the way, how do you expect me to relax!" He yelled, his hands balling into fists, wand gripped in his right hand. Hermione and George yelled back at the same time.

"She's not your girlfriend!"

"I'm not your girlfriend!" Ron froze, his face red. It matched his fiery red hair and Hermione sucked in a breath.

"Ron... we just kissed, and it was in the heat of the moment... I- I'm sorry-'' She stumbled through her sentence, trying to convey her regret, and how she didn't mean to lead him on. He held up a hand.

"Save it" He pushed past them and disappeared with a pop. Fred walked through the screen door and over to them. He had a smirk on his face that disappeared instantly when he noticed the tear tracks down Hermione's cheeks.

"So yeah, you lot were yelling and we heard everything. Don't worry about it though Ron will get over it" He said flatly, before clapping George on the shoulder. George nodded and then pulled Hermione into a hug. Fred shot him a knowing look and then started back towards the house.

"I'll tell them you two went home, not feeling well" He said and they nodded. George held Hermione's hand and apparated them back to the flat. The feeling of being sucked through a straw never got easier. They fell onto the couch unceremoniously, both exhausted from the long day.

"Well that didn't quite go as planned" George tried to laugh and Hermione just shook her head. Her head was pounding.

"I expected Ron to be upset, but it was tough watching his face. I really hurt him..." She trailed off and George squeezed her hand.

"It's not your job to take care of my brother. You survived a war, you're a hero. He's a big boy and he can figure out how to move on without you" Hermione felt a little better as George told her that, nodding. He always knew what to say.
