Il Capitano, also known as The Captain, is Shadow's Garden Co-founder alongside his brother, Shadow. He is someone who is held in high regard in status, power, and above all, respect. Unlike Shadow Garden who keeps in the shadows, he prefers his time in the light, acting more as a double agent. Among those in Shadow Garden, Shadow is the only one who has seen his face as the two were brothers in their past and still are in this life. He has his own Seven Elites like Shadow and they have more authority than the others. Capitano is strong enough to face numerous strong opponents at once and slay even the strongest of beasts. He is an expert swordsman and has skills that surpass that of Iris Midgar. Capitano is also in charge of military affairs within the organization and has made a name for himself among the people of the world and other kingdoms as a mysterious, yet imposing figure, so much so that his mere name is feared in the Cult of Diabolos.

Tartaglia, or by his real name Ajax, is a member of Capitano's Seven Arbiter Calamities and his personal pupil. He joined Shadow Garden of Fatui to support his family and fight for a cause he deemed right, not to mention to fight powerful opponents. When he was a child, he fell into a dark pit called The Abyss and trained with a mysterious swordswoman, his kind-hearted personality changed to a battle-hungry, blood-thirsty warrior, and he pictures himself as a kind of "bad guy" to others sometimes. Capitano trains him and he wants to find the beast that he saw in his time in the Abyss called the All-Devouring Narwhal and slay it.
