L, Thad and uzi were on their own because of N and V at the pod. They didn't know they left (they are on sleep mode) and they met "J" as a spooky snek rat aka the Solver (the main frame of murder drones core) and they fight it and L gets damaged and their rampage mode went crazy on the "J". (Similar to ep2 canon)
