chapter 1:first encounter

Isabelle pov :

I was 15 when I first met Ash . My dad is a buisness man ,the kind of man that made sure he has that wonderful family picture to show off to everyone before really caring for our needs .

That time dad was receiving serious life threat so he started assigning different bodyguards for me .

I didn't like any one of them they were so annoying and they towered over my head all the time so I ran from them .

Most of them were fed up and they ended up quitting in a regular period of less than a year .

Until that day .I was as usual hiding from my bodyguard on the top of tree in the garden .

It was my way of coping up with all the shit that my parents made me went through .

I kept hearing them calling for me but I never answered .

When I decide it was time for me to leave , I stood up but was startled with big Bambi light brown eyes on a perfectly sculptured face looking right in my soul .

-"Who are you? I didn't see you before are you new ?"

The man in front of me was 6'4 feet with a muscled body wrapped in a suit which was hard not to remember .

-" You can say so , I am supposed to be added to the security crow if I completed my test "

Thick honey like voice echoed in the empty garden .

-"What test ?"

-" You ." A shiver rent through me as he paused . -"catching you "

-" you didn't catch me ,not yet "

-"No I did I just was giving you some space you look like you needed it . Now let's go it is getting colder you will be sick "

-" Why would I go with you? Maybe you are spy faking being one of our guards .I will wait for Alfred that man may be slow but he comes at the end "

He looked at me and hardly bottled a laugh .

-" if I wanted to kidnapp you I would by now.so your logique is wrong and your sense of danger is broken . "

-" I amNOT going down... you can go ahead "

-"okay have fun fighting snakes then" He said while turning to leave

-"Wait are you really leaving ?"

-" yup " He said while i kept looking at his shadow leaving in the dark .

-" wait ! " i said before i tripped on a branch and fall .

i prepared myrself for the hit but it never came instead 2 bulky hands hugged me to a warm chest .

That's when i felt how cold the weather became .

He gently put me down and instead of a silly joke . He looked at me and said :" let's get you inside you are cold ... and hungry " He continued with a smile after hearing my stomach grumbling .

We walked side by side while i found myself unconsciously getting closer to the man next to me seeking the warmth radiating of his body .

-" it is not the weather that makes me cold I am anemic so to get me warm it takes longer than normal human ."

-" I see , so why were you in the middle of the forest alone at this hour . Don't you know it is dangerous? "

-" I do but It helps get my brain off the hook. You know, the art of doing nothing .... At home I can't do that and I really need it to function."

-"I see . "

-"But why do you care ? "

-"Because from now on you are under my protection Isabelle ."
