Darryl POV:

I sit next to Zak and wait for him to wake up. The nurse comes back into the room. "Looks like he fainted due to dehydration and shock." "Looks like your confession had a part in this." She said and chuckled a little bit. I turned into a tomato. "He should wake up soon. I'll leave you guys alone though." She said while trying to hold back a smile. Zak started to stir. I grabbed his hand in hopes he'll wake up. It didn't. I kissed him softly on the lips. His lips a bit chapped but tasted like muffins. My favorite food is muffins so it's the best. I felt Zak's hand grab my neck and pull me closer. It was a sloppy kiss but I don't mind. I cup his face with my hands. I kiss him hard not getting enough of the muffin taste. We pull away once we start turning purple. We gasp for air smiling. 'Does this mean we're dating?" I ask. " Of course it does. Were definitely not just best friends anymore." He says grinning widely. "Great, then I'm take you out for dinner after school."

[TIME SKIP] [AFTER PRACTICE]

I wait for Zak in my car. I roll down the windows when I see him walk out of the school. 'Hey cutie get into my car." I say. "You suck at this." He says as he enters my car. "Sure but you can't deny that you're not blushing." I say as I point to his face. "Whatever where are we going?" "You'll see." I say with a smirk on my face. "Why do you have to be so hot and kind?" He says while eye rolling. "I could ask the same." I say while making a turn. "We're almost there." "really the movie theater? You're so cliché." "Yeah but I figured you'd like it since they have your favorite food popcorn and they even have cherry coke."I say persuasively. "Ahh. I'm glad to fall in love with you. We know everything about each other!" We laugh and go to choose a movie. We choose "Across the Spider-Verse" and pick out the things we wanted. Zak got cherry coke and popcorn while I got popcorn and blue raspberry slushy. I got really immersed into the movie when Zak held my hand and I flinched. He looked worried but I just chuckled and squeezed his hand. I took a sip from my drink but then Zak kissed me. I felt his tongue explore my mouth. A weird feeling but not a bad one. "Mmmm your drink is really good!" I stare wide eyed but a smile appears on my face. "I get it all the time!" I say.
