Obi-Wan doesn't know what to do.

The talk about his dream resulted in a disaster, even if they never talked in the first place. Anakin doesn't even know anything about it, yet only the mention of a dream was enough to trigger such overwhelming fear in his Padawan, that he lost his control.

Moreover, Obi-Wan is aware of how fixated the boy is on self-control, how a small breach in it, is making him extensively uneasy and blame-ridden, hastening to correct the mistake and training double as hard. The jedi Master is already in awe of Anakin's controlling skills over his Force, emotions included, that he's not sure if he would be in the other's place and possess that amount of titanic power and consuming senses, he would do better. No, he would go insane, yet Anakin Skywalker does it every second, every day, non-stop, since he was 9 years old.

A decade now.

The jedi shivers. The inability to aid his Padawan as a Master with this, to ease this tremendous burden - is weighing heavily on him and strangling his heart. He will have to research the archives, there should be something that could help Anakin, perhaps he could ask some Masters or Vokara Che about it... in hypothetical scenarios. He should have done that earlier. These past 5 years were relatively calm, without any major incidents or breakdowns, though it's thanks to Anakin's unceasing effort to best his control and his tireless work on himself.

There's no way that boundless power, doesn't come at a great price. He often thought about it, after Anakin revealed his power in its entirety to him, how much the boy must suffer emotionally from it. An immense strain without the burden of visions to add to it.

Obi-Wan buries his face in wavering hands, trying to take slow breathes, as if the air itself became too heavy for his lungs.

He needs to comfort and cheer up the boy, his Padawan has enough on his shoulders without this irrational self-blame over something so small. To begin with, Obi-Wan would have showed Anakin everything, he just... wasn't ready. He, well, freaked out for a second, as mortifying to admit that as it is, not because of Anakin's sudden intrusion in his mind, but his instinctive dread to relive the nightmare again and the other's distressed state as he felt it directly, made it all worse.

Dear Force, Anakin looked like he committed an unforgivable misdeed and wouldn't move for hours. Obi-Wan despaired in earnest and started to send him calming waves to nudge the boy to fall asleep. Anakin collapsed in his arms and finally, he could take him to their room. He tended to his Padawan's bruised knees and feet, massaged them to smooth the stiffness and cramps, the boy would surely get, when he'll wake up.
