Fourth and Gemini had been together for a year, a relationship built on quiet moments, shared laughter, and an unspoken understanding. They were a balance of opposites: Fourth, calm and introspective, and Gemini, vibrant and outgoing. Their love, though sometimes tumultuous, was deep, real, and comforting in a way that felt like home.

It was a warm afternoon when Gemini came bounding into their shared apartment, his energy filling the space as he tossed his bag on the couch. "You'll never guess what happened today," he said, breathless and excited.

Fourth looked up from his book, raising an eyebrow with a small smile. "What's that?"

"I got paired with Ni-ki for the big project. Remember him? The new guy in my class," Gemini said, plopping down next to Fourth. "We were working together all afternoon, and he's seriously so smart. Like, scary smart."

Fourth's smile faltered, just for a second, though he tried to mask it. "Yeah, I remember him," he replied, keeping his voice steady.

Gemini, always quick to pick up on changes in mood, noticed the shift immediately. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," Fourth said, but the way he set his book down and shifted uncomfortably told a different story.

Gemini frowned, leaning closer to Fourth. "Come on, what's up? You've got that look on your face."

Fourth sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It's just... I don't know. You've been talking about Ni-ki a lot lately. It's starting to feel like maybe you enjoy his company a little too much."

Gemini blinked, caught off guard. "Wait, are you jealous?"

Fourth hesitated, then nodded, unable to deny it. "I guess I am. I know it's stupid, but every time you mention him, I can't help but feel like he's... I don't know, a better fit for you somehow. He's smart, outgoing, and you're always laughing when you talk about him."

Gemini's face softened. "Fourth, that's not even close to the truth. Yeah, Ni-ki's smart, but that's just for school. You know me better than anyone-he could never be what you are to me."

Fourth looked down, feeling embarrassed for even bringing it up. "I don't want to be the insecure boyfriend," he muttered.

Gemini reached out, gently tilting Fourth's chin up so their eyes met. "You're not insecure. You're just human, and it's okay to feel like that sometimes. But trust me, no one, not even someone like Ni-ki, could replace you."

Fourth's heart ached with a mixture of relief and guilt. He knew Gemini was being sincere, but the jealousy had gnawed at him for days, and he hadn't been able to shake it.

"I just... I don't want to lose you," Fourth said quietly.

Gemini's expression softened even more. He leaned in, closing the gap between them, pressing a tender kiss to Fourth's lips. The kiss was soft, reassuring, and filled with all the love that words couldn't quite capture. Fourth melted into it, his tension easing as he felt the warmth of Gemini's lips against his.

When they pulled apart, Gemini stayed close, their foreheads touching. "You're not going to lose me," he whispered. "I'm stuck with you, remember?"

Fourth chuckled softly, feeling a weight lift off his chest. "I know. I'm sorry. I just... care about you too much."

Gemini smiled, running a hand through Fourth's hair. "And I care about you too, more than anyone. You don't have to worry about Ni-ki or anyone else. You're the one I want, Fourth."

For a moment, they stayed like that, just holding each other, letting the world outside their apartment disappear. Fourth realized then how silly it had been to let his jealousy fester. Gemini had never given him a reason to doubt their relationship, and he knew deep down that their bond was stronger than anything that could come between them.

"Okay," Fourth said softly, pulling Gemini closer into his arms. "I trust you."

Gemini grinned, kissing him again, this time with more intensity, more passion. Fourth responded eagerly, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them. The kiss deepened, and all the frustration, the jealousy, and the doubt melted away, leaving only the undeniable connection they shared.

When they finally broke apart, both breathless, Gemini rested his head on Fourth's chest, his fingers tracing small patterns on his shirt. "See? You're stuck with me," Gemini teased softly.

Fourth smiled, pressing a kiss to the top of Gemini's head. "Good. I wouldn't have it any other way."

They stayed like that for a while, wrapped up in each other, the afternoon sun casting a warm glow around them. The jealousy that had once seemed so overwhelming now felt distant and unimportant, overshadowed by the simple truth that they belonged to each other.

And as they lay there together, beneath the same sky they had shared for so long, Fourth knew with certainty that no matter what came their way, they would always find their way back to each other.
