High School

I woke up this morning for breakfast after hearing my mom yelling upstairs to wake me up. I walked downstairs just thing that I'd have just another day of summer break, but then I noticed how early in the morning it was and started wondering why. I felt a bit suspicious. Then, my mom told me "Honey get dressed. If you're late for your first day of high school, I won't be happy."

I started groaning and slopping because I was mad that I had to go to school. I didn't think that it would be too bad though, only because I thought the people would be more mature so that I don't have to suffer. I went back upstairs and got dressed, wore my favorite shirt, brushed my teethe, and went back downstairs to eat. Then, my my mom yelled at the clock and said "Jack! You have to leave, the bus is right outside already! Hurry, hurry, hurry!"

I got on the bus thinking all kinds of things that I couldn't explain. As soon as I walked onto the bus it was just mayhem. Looks like the high school busses in movies are real, this was crazy. There were paper balls flying through the air, people fighting, people crying, and people being bullied on the first day. I finally found a seat and that was in the middle of the bus, I sat next to a kid named Jack, wow. He has the same name as me and is wearing the exact same shirt. I laughed and smiled because I was actually happy to see a kid like me. I asked him "So what kind of music do you like?" Of course that's my first question. "I like screamo music.. Most people hate it. Wait! Your wearing the same exact shirt as me!" Jack replied. I said "Yea! So it turns out we both like Black Veil Brides. So what bands do you listen to? By the way, I also like screamo."

Jack finally replied and said "I like bands like, Sleeping with sirens, Pierce The Veil, Of Mice and Men, Guns n' Roses, ext. oh and of course Black Veil Brides."

By the time Jack was done talking, we were already almost at school, so we just kinda stayed silent. I got to class and saw Jack again, I was extremely happy now. We were in the same class! I sat down at my desk feeling pretty good about the day. Class started and we just went through basic first day of school shit. Then we finally got to lunch, where Jack and I were gonna try to find a spot where we wouldn't get picked on. We found a group of kids that seemed pretty cool, so me and Jack tried to sit with them. They apparently all knew each other. Jack and I sat down and one of them said "Hey? Who are you?" Another one said "Hey! I like your shirts!" I just said thank you and Jack looked confused for some reason. Then, I answered the one who said "Who are you?" I said "Um, my name's Jack and this is my friend Jack who I just met."

I asked for their names and they all told me. Their names were Kat, Hannah, Shauna, and Andrew. Andrew looked pretty cool and the girls looked fun I guess. So we sat down and started to just talk about random stuff. Obliviously I have to ask if any of them listen to bands.they all answered and replied with all of my favorite bands. I'm pretty sure my year isn't gonna be too bad. Andrew was my favorite, for a funny reason. He was actually the lead singer for Black veil brides. Oh god. Jack and I started fangirling and obsessing. We knew he was the lead singer because he said that we could call him Andy and he said his last name is Biersack. Plus, he looked just like him.

Just before lunch ended, a kid came buy and started to beat up Andy. Everyone at the table tried to help but it didn't work. Andy went down to the nurses office after he beating and was sent home with a concussion and a broken nose. I wonder why they would do something like that to an innocent person. Was it because of how he looks? Or the music he listens to? Maybe I'm next. I'm a freshman and almost exactly like him.

The day ended and we finally got to go home. All day long I could focus on anything because of what I saw happen to Andy. I just felt so bad I couldn't do anything about it. I just went up to my room when I got home and ignored my parents. All I did was just listen to Black Veil Brides.
