ROOP
I closed my eyes feeling my every single thought slowly and steadily dusting away. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale.
I meditate for a while and then stretched my legs and arms. I did not paid attention to the bandages wrapped around my wrist or even the hollow room I'm stuck in.
I'm only holding myself together because if I break or lose the hope of returning home.. what will mom say? What she must be going through just to search for me.
It's been four days since Kabir left after the threat of locking me up in this room until I shred the idea of escaping. The worst thing is I don't even have my phone.
I can't say I'm pretty much enjoying my time alone in a room I can hardly look at and in a mansion I've never been. But I'm fortunate of the fact that Kabir hasn't been here since last we met according to that same maid I talked my first day.
She comes occasionally with a platter of food and I always refuse her but then she tells me it's better to eat than starve to death if I want to meet my mother again.
I was done exercising and was about to flop on the bed when the door creaked open. I glanced back to find that maid at the door but this time she was empty handed.
I scarcely got up from the bed when she moves closer to me standing at the edge of the bed. "Would you like to get some fresh air mam?" she locks her hands in front of her dipping the chin at a low angle.
"What do you mean?" I say suspiciously but then she looks up a little hesitant. "I mean the morning's fresh maybe a walk near the pond side would be better for your mind. After the injury--" she wasn't completed when I interrupted "Thanks but I'm not going anywhere except for my home" I say turning back to the window that watches over the front of this villa.
"Sir is not home yet" she adds a moment later and I doubt any worker would willingly get on the bad side of their master just to freshen my mood. But if I look on the positive side I might register the structure of this villa and possible escape routes.
"Will it be trouble for you?" I asked raising a brow at her but a shake of her head relaxed the chilling in my bones "I can tell him it's suggested because of your injury" she eyes those bandages and suddenly they're a weight on my body.
We made our way out of the room and into an open hallway. I've not for once glanced out of that beautiful cage of mine. Now that I do note my surrounding. The hallway is a perfect blend of renaissance era and nyc penthouse.
I mean look at those creamy wall holding many arts depicting various culture than many artifacts. Even the chandeliers looked antique.
