The older looking Lewis strutted through the hospital, slightly more cheery yet understandably upset. He wrote something on a piece of paper he saw on the receptionist desk, and as he walked by Artemis' hospital room he slid it under the door.
Colton saw the piece of paper come in from under the door and gestured for Nezerith to pick it up, which he did. Nezerith read the piece of paper and smiled, confused.
'I'm your Son now. Tell me what you'd name me and that's my name.' The note read.
Nezerith left the hospital room, telling Colton he was just giving him some time to be with his daughter privately, and looked for Lewis. He couldn't find him anywhere, so he knew to leave the hospital. It didn't take long for him to find Lewis, but it took a few seconds for him to realise who it was. He walked over to Lewis and looked him up and down.
"Dear god you've grown." Nezerith observed. "You were three quarters of my height half an hour ago and now you're almost taller."
"It's fine you're just a short King." Lewis joked. Nezerith looked annoyed, but remembered that he vowed to never hurt someone younger than him. Except Colton.
Instead, he sighed. Then looked at him again.
"What do you want from me?" Nezerith asked. Lewis smiled, then gestured for Nezerith to follow him."I've known for longer than you might think that Ben, Hope he rests in peace, wasn't my real Father." Lewis explained.
"Yes, five years by the looks of it. Wait Ben didn't make it? God damn it! Another friend down." Nezerith said, with many emotions.
"I can take you to the boy who made me realise. In fact, you might already know him. It's a long walk. I met him in Shrewer City actually. We might as well get the train." Lewis told him. Nezerith stared at him blankly, and emptied his pockets.
"For someone who comes from money I'm surprised you don't have much. Check your back pockets." Said Lewis, smirking. He brushed his fingers against each other and a light glow shon in all of Nezeriths pockets. They were filled with cash. At least thousands of pounds worth. Nezerith noticed this quickly and smiled nervously. It appears that they will be getting the train after all.In the hospital room, Colton stood next to his daughter's bed feeling guilty. He could have prevented all of this if he had just told her what he knew.
"I'm sorry Artie. I could have been a much better Father if I had just tried. I never should have sent you away, or shut you out. I never wanted to continue the unfortunate tradition of heirs being mistreated. I never even told you that you were going to be my heir, it was always assumed to be Delvin. Delvin was always the assumed heir just because he's a boy. Delvin isn't the eldest child, you are. You always have been. If you die on this hospital bed I will spend the rest of my life regretting everything. I'm sorry sweetie." Colton sobbed. He fell into the chair, trying to wipe his tears.
Edward walked into the hospital room, feeling a little better. He looked at Colton and offered him a hug, mostly because he needed one himself. Colton stood up and hugged the boy."Is Artemis alright?" Edward asked. Colton looked gutted and left the room. As Colton left the room, Artemis' eyes fluttered open. It took a few minutes for Edward to notice that she was awake, but once he did he ran to her bed and hugged her tightly. To his surprise, she also wrapped her arms around him. Artemis felt that she was experiencing something she never had before, and it showed on the heart monitor as her heart rate was raising. Edward noticed this and let go. He went to get her a glass of water.
"Ed what's happened? Where am I?" Artemis asked, after examining the room.
"You're in hospital, love." He replied, not really thinking about his words.
"Love?" Artemis asked, giggling slightly. Edward thought about what he said and let out a nervous chuckle.
"Damn, sorry Artemis" he laughed.Nezerith and Lewis arrived safely in Shrewer City after a very long bus journey. Lewis took him to the place he met the person who told him everything and they waited.
After forty five minutes of waiting, a person came. This person was fully covered up, head to toe in white clothing. Once he stopped walking, he removed his mask. Nezerith looked shocked when he saw this.
