We walk through the front door of my apartment. Liam, Abby, Holten, and I are all confused and tired. It's late, yet I want my man to please me.
Liam kicks his shoes off. "I wish you would have called me before going to that bar."
"Drop it, Liam!" I snap.
Both Abby and Holten look at each other in shock. Liam stands and stares like he's about to fight back. "I would drop it, Elle. But my mind doesn't fucking work like that. It works in a way of you are mine and some guy could have done a lot of bad things to you and then I would have gone to prison for a long time all because you..."
"Stop arguing!" I roar in anger. "Would you rather fight with me all night or take my clothes off!"
His eyes wave with anger. "I would rather..." He pauses and his expression quickly shifts to 'WTF'. "Wait, what? You..."I point at my bedroom door, feeling in charge. "Bedroom, now!" I command. "Not another word out of you. I will be in there in a minute. Strip the bed down...and then strip yourself down."
He swallows, looking shaken and confused yet aroused. "Yes ma'am.""Damn!" Abby exclaims excitedly. "You are not the best friend I knew a day ago."
"Nope," I say while wanting to laugh over the expression Holten and Abby both have. It's like they want whatever I just did to Liam.
Holten watches as his brother walks into my bedroom "I don't think I've ever heard a woman control my brother like that. He is uncontrollable."
"Hmm," I emphasize. "It seems to work for me."
"No, I mean it, Elle. My brother does not like it when women talk to him like that. He's known to break up with them. And you just made it look like it came naturally between you two. And in front of me. He'd never let that happen in front of me."
"I glance at the bedroom door, verifying it's closed. "And did he mention that he's in love with me?"
He freezes in place with widened eyes. "Nope. He told you he's in love with you?"
I gesture my hands for him to quiet down and widen my eyes with an expression on my face that reads 'Shut up'. "Not exactly. But we got into an argument at the hospital, and it was like he was trying to control the entire argument. With my brain being the way it is, I started listening to him. I started understanding his emotions, body language, tone of voice, and the expressions on his face. And now this? My brain put the pieces together."
"Have you confronted him?" Elle beams with excitement. Her bubbly attitude can sometimes be extreme.
"No. But I think I am going to. I can say I'm a little nervous. We just started dating which tells me he may have been in love with me well before us dating."
Holten steps over to the refrigerator. "And my brother has never fallen in love with anyone. If this is true, you're going to have him wrapped around your finger."
"She already does," Abby interjects. "Didn't you see what just happened? She had no problem getting him to the bedroom like a lost puppy dog. And the look on his face wasn't the excitement of what was about to happen. It was more like a 'Shit! I better listen.' I couldn't be any prouder of her."
"Ah!" I say jokingly. "I feel so loved. Now if you two don't mind I have a man to go tend to."
"Go tend to your man!" Abby says excitedly. "But for the love of everything. Be a little quieter. You two are louder than we have ever been."
