Mafia Obsession - Chapter 14: A Gift of Love

The revelation of Angelo’s wealth, the staggering sum of five hundred million a month, had shaken Celeste. It was a number that defied comprehension, a testament to the power and influence he wielded, a constant reminder of the dangerous world he inhabited. One morning, as Celeste was getting ready for a charity event, Angelo surprised her with a gift. He entered their bedroom, his face illuminated by a mischievous grin. In his hand, he held a small, velvet box, its surface adorned with intricate silver filigree.

"I have a surprise for you, Celeste," he said, his voice a low murmur.

Celeste’s heart skipped a beat.  She looked up, her eyes wide with curiosity.

“What is it, Angelo?” she asked, her voice barely a whisper.

Angelo smiled, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

“Open it and see,” he said, his voice filled with a hint of anticipation.

Celeste took the box, her fingers tracing the delicate silver filigree.  She lifted the lid, revealing a breathtaking piece of jewelry: a diamond necklace, its brilliance dazzling in the morning light. It was a masterpiece of craftsmanship, a symbol of wealth and power, a testament to Angelo’s influence.

Celeste gasped, her breath catching in her throat.  She had seen many beautiful pieces of jewelry in the Palazzo, but nothing like this.  This necklace was different.  It was unique, it was exquisite, it was breathtaking.

“It’s beautiful, Angelo,” she whispered, her voice filled with awe.  “It’s… it’s incredible.”

Angelo smiled, his eyes filled with a mixture of pride and tenderness.

“I wanted to give you something special, Celeste,” he said, his voice husky with emotion.  “Something that would make you happy.  Something that would remind you of my love for you.”

He took the necklace from the box, his fingers tracing the delicate diamonds.  He leaned in, his lips brushing against her ear.

“This necklace, Celeste, it’s a symbol of my love for you.  It’s a symbol of our commitment to each other.  It’s a symbol of the life we’re building together.”

He gently placed the necklace around her neck, the cool diamonds resting against her skin.  He stepped back, his gaze lingering on her, his eyes filled with a mixture of love and admiration.

“You look beautiful, Celeste,” he whispered, his voice husky with emotion.  “You’re the most beautiful woman in the world.”

Celeste blushed, her heart overflowing with love.  She had never felt so loved, so cherished, so valued.  She knew that this necklace was more than just a gift.  It was a symbol of Angelo’s love for her, a symbol of their commitment to each other, a symbol of the life they were building together.

“Thank you, Angelo,” she whispered, her voice choked with emotion.  “I love you.”
