L A L I S A
Jennie sat a meter or two away from me, and I can feel her eyes analyzing me. I looked up and emptied the beer in my hand. The stars shimmered above us, casting a gentle glow over the island. I put my cold hand over my face, and a silent sobs filled the air as I tried to keep this feeling to myself, trying to hold back the tears that threatened to spill, Jennie's soft voice broke through the night's silence.
"Lisa, can I come closer?" Jennie's voice trembled with concern. I nodded silently, unable to find my own words as she moved beside me, she gently guided my head onto her lap, her fingers stroking through my hair with a soothing hum escaping her lips. The warmth of her touch and the comforting melody eased the ache in my chest.
I let out a shaky breath and closed my eyes. My heart ached with a mix of emotions—frustrations, longing, guilt and the faint whisper of something more. We stayed at the same position for quite some time. I found myself stealing glances at her, unable to shake the guilt that weighed heavy on my heart. I couldn't bring myself to meet Jennie's eyes, knowing I had hurt her time and time again. I held her hand and placed it on the top of my chest where my heart is located, she startled a bit by my sudden action. I took a deep breath before having a courage to apologize to her.
"I'm sorry, " I whispered, my voice filled with regret. "I didn't mean to treat you that way. It's just that... I didn't want to lose myself." Jennie's thumb gently touch my cheek. When I opened my eyes again, Jennie was looking at me, giving me this gentle smile.
"You don't have to apologized, Lisa. I know you have your own reason. I'm the one who should apologise, I got out without your permission." A heavy sigh escaped me. I really didn't mean to treat her this way. Things will get complicated in the coming days.
I got up and face her, put my palm on Jennie's cheek. I could tell her heart beats so fast beneath my touch.
"Jennie," I began softly, "I'm so sorry for being an asshle, I'm sorry for hurting you," her lips slightly parting as if she couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Do you trust me?"
"Yes," she answered as I closed my eyes when I felt her hand on my cheek. Her delicate fingers trembled as they reached up to touch mine. Slowly, a small, unsure smile tugged at the corners of her lips.
"I'm not good with words," I whispered, my heart racing with uncertainty and hope. "Please stay with me, whatever happens."
"Lisa, what's going on?" she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. I leaned in closer, my breath mingling with hers.
"I'm not a good person, I've done a lot of mistakes, hurt people with my actions. I don't deserved a person like you, but please, Jennie Kim.." My fingers tracing a line down her jawline, my heart raced as my lips met hers "Stay with me."
As our eyes met, the world around us ceased to exist, I reached her, it was soft and gentle kiss, it lasted for what felt like an eternity, our lips parting only for brief moments to catch our breath.
I looked into her feline eyes, it was a moment of pure, unadulterated love and passion.
Jennie's eyes glistened with emotion as she let out a soft, trembling hum, her fingers intertwining with mine. And in that moment, under the starlit sky, our unspoken feelings found a voice in the gentle breeze, the rustling leaves, and the beating of our entwined hearts.
"I--" my words were cut off when my phone rang. "Fck" I heard her giggles on my reaction. I reached on my pocket to get my phone and curse whoever this person is.

As we walked back to our friends, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore accompanied our steps. The island was shrouded in darkness, with only the stars twinkling above us, casting a romantic glow over everything.
"Look at these lovebirds, " Jisoo chirped, her voice filled with amusement. I chuckled, a low, husky sound escaping my lips. Laughter filled the air as they continue to teased us.
"Fck off, Jisoo." I looked at Jennie, a softness in her eyes that I hadn't seen before. "Ignore her, Jennie." I felt a warmth touch of her hands on me, a sense of belonging that I hadn't felt in a long time.
As we settled back into the group, I felt Kai's eyes drilling into Jennie. I gritted my teeth, recalling the way Kai effortlessly made Jennie laugh earlier. I put my hand on Jennie's waist and pull her genlty, closer to me. A ditsant wave crashed on the shore, mirroring the unstable emotions swirling inside me. I took a deep breath, trying to steady my racing heart.
"What's wrong, Lisa?" Jennie's voice, soft and concerned, pulled me out of my thoughts. I turned to face her, forcing a smile.
"Nothing," Jennie placed a delicate hand on my arm, her touch sending a shiver down my spine.
"We should head back," she suggested, her eyes searching mine for reassurance. I nodded, the weight of my conflicting emotions pressing down on me like a ton of bricks.
"Dinner will be serve in a while, freshen up and meet us here." Irene said and made a meaningful wink at me.
