The dimly lit room buzzed with excitement as the four of them gathered around a table cluttered with maps, artifacts, and the glowing orb that had brought Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji to this strange new world. Wu Xie leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with enthusiasm.
Alright! Let’s piece this together. We need to figure out where to find the other relics,” he said, bouncing slightly in his seat. “I’ve heard stories of ancient tombs in my grandfather's diary that might hold clues.
Wei Wuxian's interest was triggered by the word diary, "Hey, can I have a look at the diary?” Wu Xie was hesitant but then gave it to him. As Wuxian was looking through the diary, Lan Wangji, his expression was serious. “We should prioritise locations where the Shadow Cult is active. If they’re after the same relics, we need to be one step ahead.”
Wei Wuxian, his curiosity piqued again, examined the maps spread across the table and looked back at the diary in his hand. “What do you know about these tombs? Are there specific legends associated with them?
Zhang Qiling, who had remained quiet turned to look at Wu xie who was already looking at him asking whether it is fine to share it or not, for which Zhang just nodded at him to say it, and Wu xie spoke up. “There’s a site called the Silver Moon Tomb. It’s said to house relics connected to ancient powers, and it hasn’t been fully explored.
Wei Wuxian's eyes widened. “That sounds incredible! We should check it out! And more over Wu xie, looks like your grandfather was already a little into this unknowingly. Look at this map and this portion of the geographical area drawn in the diary resembles very much, along with the names”. Wu xie was shocked but soon relaxed knowing it was the fate of a tomb raider to eventually cross paths with the unknown.
But it won’t be easy,” Lan Wangji cautioned. “The cult will have its eyes on that location.”
Then we need to move quickly,” Wei Wuxian said, determination shining in his eyes. “We can’t let them get to it first.”
With their plan set, the group quickly gathered supplies, preparing for the journey ahead. Wu Xie was a whirlwind of energy, packing items and sharing stories of his adventures, while Zhang Qiling focused on organising the maps and ensuring they had the necessary tools.
It was already night by the time they completed packing and Wu xie suggested starting the journey the next day early in the morning , which all of them agreed to.Wu Xie gave a room to Wuxian and Wangji across theirs.
Next morning
All set Xiaoge. Just waiting for them to come here.” Wu Xie said to Zhang qiling.
Soon Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan walked into the living room in their usual looks. Both Wu Xie and Zhang Qiling looked confused at the duo in their red-black and white-blue robes.
Wu Xie awkwardly said, “Umm ... .Mr. We-”. “Just call us by our names.” Wei Wuxian interjected. “Wei Wuxian are you both going to wear this….?
Both Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji were confused at first and then realised, Lan Wangji said, “We are not familiar with your way of clothing and we don't have any so…
Wu Xie just face-palmed himself for his negligence,“We have some new pair of clothes hope they fit you both, if not we can buy some on our way, ok? One moment”. Saying Wu Xie pulled Zhang Qiling along with him to get the new sets of clothes from the storage room where they kept the new gears and few extra items for an emergency raiding. Soon Wu Xie came with 2 sets of clothes in his hand with Zhang Qiling carrying a box behind him having new pairs of gears and necessary items.
Here you go Wuxian and Wangji, why don't you go try it on.” The duo looked confused at the pieces of clothing that were placed in their hands and just looked at Wu Xie for any details or instructions of how to wear them. Zhang Qiling seemed to catch on to their confusion faster and then briefly explained how to and what piece of clothing should be worn where. They then went to their rooms and then wore the clothes and came out liking that Wu Xie had taken notice of their colour choice. Wuxian was wearing a black pants and a shirt with a red coat on whereas Wangji was wearing a white pants and a t-shirt with a blue shirt on. (They somehow managed the hair.)
