I drive rashly through New York's highway, Not caring where to go or who i hit in a way, The liquor in my system works as clouding my mind, increasing the heaviness in my chest.

Cracking my neck, i exhale thick smoke from my mouth, fogging up in my car, with no reason to live this pathetic life, why the fuck am i still breathing?

My knuckles turn white around the staring wheel as my foot pressing harder against the accelerator. The car surges forward, slicing through the air with a swift velocity, leaving the city lights fading into the distance.

What is happiness? What is pain? What is joy? What is ecstasy? What are emotions? What the fuck is peace? These are just words written in some romantic books. All I see and sense is heaviness. The crushing weight of surviving.

Just Gathering the scattered remnants of my being. Intoxication ran deeper within my veins than any liquor, How can I encapsulate my existence in mere words? i learned to walk while grasping the hand of death. Since childhood my only mate was darkness

My eyes flicker to glance at the speedometer as the needle hovering above over 200 km/ hr. And that only pushes me further towards the end.

One last breath, one last moment and then everything will be finished, the war will be over, A force smirk twists my lips as i slam the accelerator further and my car cut through the air like a rocket

The rain pour down drenching my car, But just when, Suddenly someone steps directly ahead and i jam on the breakers abruptly resulting my car to screech a sharp, jerky stop.

What the actual Fuck!

As I brought my car to a stop a short distance away, I noticed a girl bending down to scoop up a tiny cat, cradling it in her arms. As she walked towards me.

I took in her full appearance, her lovely light pink suit complemented by a delicate net dupatta draped around her neck caught my eye, Above her head, she grasped a colorful umbrella, shielding herself from the rain. Though the rain has transformed into steady drizzle.

She rapped on the tinted window of my car, her face obscures by a white mask, except for her piercing eyes. "Are you blind, mister?' she spat, anger lacing her voice. "Can't you see that little cat on the way, she already has her paw bruised and you were about to crush her, such a pathetic human being you're" She glared at the window, expecting a response, but I simply stared back, expressionlessly.

She let out a frustrated huff, then gently stroke the cat in her hands, her gaze darting back to my window. The city lights cast an ethereal glow on her appearance. "Huh, coward," she muttered, shaking her head in distaste. "Can't even roll down your window."

The cat whimpers in her hold, and she intend to soothe it with gentle words, "Shh, kitty, I've got you. Thank goodness I stopped for ice cream or who knows what could've happened to you?" She cooed, while walking and blabbering as she sits down on a nearby bench with the cat.
