Chapter 18: Leo's Epilogue

Leonardo and Karai got married and had two children. One was a girl named Shen while the boy was named Yoshi after both of Karai's parents. Leo and Karai started their own dojo together to train the next generation of ninjas with their children as their students. They inherited all of their parents' traits including courage and strength

Shen inherited her mother's intelligence and her father's fighting skills while Yoshi inherited his father's wisdom and his mother's speed. Both children train together in order to become ninjas like their parents before them. The two children were now in the dojo training until Karai yells "Kids, time for bed" Shen asks "Ka-san, can't we stay up for five more minutes?" Karai replies "That's what you said five minutes ago, Shen. Now get ready for bed, your father and I will be there to tuck you in"

Shen and Yoshi brush their teeth, put on their pajamas and wait for their parents in bed as Leo and Karai arrive and Yoshi asks "To-san, can you tell us a story?" Leo asks "Which one?" Shen replies "About the Swan Prince" Leo explains "Okay then. Once upon a time there was a King named Alfor who ruled a large and mighty kingdom and yet, he was sad. For he was growing old and his daughter, Princess Allura, had no one to play with nor share the throne"

Shen says "That's so sad" Leo explains "Then happily, a son was born. A Prince and he was given the name Lance. Kings and Queens came from all around to offer their gifts to the child. Among them was the widow Krolia, her older son Prince Shiro and her young son Prince Keith. It was then that Allura and Shiro happened upon the same idea. Keith and Lance would be brought together each summer in hopes that they would fall in love and join their kingdoms forever"

Yoshi gags "Great! There's some sissy stuff" Karai says "Yoshi, there's more than that in the story" Yoshi says "Sorry, Ka-san" Leo smiles and says "Don't worry, son. There's action in that story but that comes later because unknown to all was another plan that of the evil enchanter Zarkon and the witch Haggar" Shen and Yoshi gasp in fear as Leo explains "Lance's birth was of little concern to them for they were preparing to take Alfor's kingdom by mean of the Forbidden Arts"

Shen and Yoshi say "Whoa" Leo explains "On the eve of their assault, Alfor attacked and their powers were plungd into darkness. Zarkon was burned at the stake for treason and despite calls for Haggar's death, she was only banished but vowed that everything Alfor owns and love will be gone. Many feared King Alfor too kind but, in time, the threat was forgotten and so begins the not too distant summer when Keith and Lance would meet"
